Brand new interview- AWP
Is a cold case “solved” by finding a vehicle?
Really, I want to hear your opinions.

No, I don't think finding a vehicle is solving a case. If it were that easy we wouldn't have to wait months for the autopsy and for LE to finish their investigation. This is also not a cold case.Brand new interview- AWP

That the body was found in the back of the car is not necessary a sign of foul play. We discussed this extensively early on. Many drowning victims are found in the back because that's where the last air pocket usually is. Imo
The cargo area is where the back window is so she may have tried opening it but ran out of time. I think we would need to know more about the position of the body to know whether or not it was foul play. When the body floats, the head and limbs hang down. When the gases are released it sinks again. This may be the reason the body appeared to be curled up.In the back, yes, but not fully in the cargo area. Usually people stick their heads only into the air pocket, so when they are found and fished out with the car, they are slouched through the backrest of the backseat, with their legs on the backseat and head with upper torso in the cargo. If Kiely was found curled up in the cargo area, that IS suspicious.

I don’t think there is any logical thinking in such a situation! Visibility was probably almost nonexistent. Your direction would be muddled. Panic is at its peak, your trying to get to where there is air. If alcohol plays a part, then that’s less logic you are probably using. This looks like an awful accident, which seems to happen quite often. MooTo open the back window she would not stuff her whole body into the limited space of the cargo area. And there was a half open passenger window in the back, so why would Kiely not try to escape through it?
Thanks @Curiosa20 and @SMK777 - you both posted the same articles each with your own headline... funny. From FOX NEWS dated today, Sep 14. First time published statement re LE viewing road assistance surveillance footage:

Unfortunately the journalist altered the statement: see images. Too late to edit in original post. Thanks @SMK777. Here are the two pertinent paragraphs, IMO, to save others the time of wading through old stuff.
"Investigators later obtained surveillance footage of the bizarre interaction and confirmed that the teen was either Rodni or someone who looked like her."
"The Nevada Sheriff’s Office said they would not provide any updates on the case until November. Bishop said the lengthy delay suggests something other than an accident."
Not very compelling, but interesting, IMO.

If no seat belt was she knocked out on impact? and floated to the rear?
That is interesting.Unfortunately the journalist altered the statement: see images. Too late to edit in original post.

The surprising one came first; the one we’d all seen before attributed to Doug Bishop came second. It’s as if she had to retract the LE and attribute it to Doug Bishop’s opinion…..That is interesting.
The current article on line - the version I quoted a few minutes ago - did not have an "Updated" date and time stamp in the header. I just checked.
The second clip you posted here, @SMK777, is a statement I've heard Doug (AWP) say before. But the first clip you posted appeared new to me (but not that compelling, IMO.)
So can you clarify which version came first and second? I just checked and the first clip still stands in the on line article.
Hmmmm.
The car was flipped upside down, It was not possible for her body to float to the back UNDER the seats.
Forgive me if this has already been asked and answered, but was the deceased found on the floor or ceiling of hatch/cargo area?It seems to me that with the vehicle ending up upside down that the floor of the vehicle would be closest to the surface/ air pockets.
