The Sun is having a busy day. I also do not find them not the best source. I know they're an approved source, but I think at times the style of writing can be confusing.

Take this for example:

They have been criticized for interviewing an alleged witness, named Nick, who appeared to describe seeing Kiely with a boy in a "black San Francisco [Giants] ball cap, facing forwards."

Nick never specifically said it was a Giants cap. We may have collectively inferred that it was, but I caught myself on that point as well. I'm not a journalist, just a person following along. If someone from LE interviewed Nick, and has tapes of the encounter, they know this, of course. But The Sun does not, and they should not fill in the gaps as fact.

Why are you equating the RA Nick encounter with 2 unnamed individuals with SM rumors and tarot readings? He is a witness to a car with 2 people and we do not know if there is a connection to K's case or not. What are you implying with your comment about 'crazy'? That anybody who thinks the Nick tip is real (connected or not) is crazy?

If you read back, I believe it was "tongue in cheek" about if LE cleared rumors and then like a Bartholemew's hat, social media would be asking why they did so, and on and on. The "crazy" would just go on forever.

Agree. There have been few facts shared with the general public, so we don't know what happened yet.

I keep thinking of the Chelsea Bruck case, and how there are seemingly many parallels. The red flags for me in this case are that KR was separated and left behind by her friends, there was allegedly 100's drinking and drugging, allegedly "older guys" showed up, and there was allegedly a "fight club". Sounds like a recipe for disaster, which unfortunately occurred.

While KR could have certainly been altered enough to drive over bumpy "sort of" roads and end up in the water, it sounds like foul play is equally a possibility.

And, while the AWP diver who proclaimed "it looks suspicious" is no LEO, his opinion carries weight with me. He saw something that immediately made him react in the manner. In my amateur speculation it was more than just the body ending up in the back of the vehicle. We'll eventually find out.

Everything is still on the table as far as I'm concerned.

Wouldn't that mean they feel other suspects may be involved, but they cleared Jagger, meaning Keily's death has someone else involved and is a suspicious death.
If the RA Nick encounter has no bearing on the case , shouldn't they say so as to stop all the speculation around it?

I don’t believe they should say anything about any tip received. There’s no need IMO to publicly clear anyone else…but LE not publicly clearing “anyone else” does speak volumes imo

Being a sports fan, I can tell you, the description of it being a San Francisc Giants cap is completely accurate. The caps you show are all different styles. but the "SF" logo, with letters overlapped as they are, is trademarked and specific to the baseball Giants. The football San Francisco 49ers caps are different styles as well, as seen in the attached link, but the "SF" on their caps are different than those, and are specific to the San Francico 49ers. The Sun was exactly accurate in their description.

Today’s ‘Sun’ article quoted a NCSO press release: “Once the investigation is complete (the records) release will be pursuant to all privileges and/or exemptions that may apply.”

Not sure about the discretion of parent or guardian but many records in CA end up being released for the public to see even in accident situations. I'll have to look into this more to get a more accurate answer.

But what stumps me is this white bro tank. Of course we don't know what it really looked like and who the guy was. But I will offer this. From my experience, I ascribe apparel like this to young men often with well built physiques. Teenage boys (and girls) for instance, seem to wear a lot of baggier clothes perhaps because of body image challenges.

I dunno, my deeper analysis of this shirt description I think is key (at least to me) as it may indicate an older male??

Exactly.

Two key points here.

One, AWP are great sonar/divers and not expert investigators. And LE the opposite.

Two, LE is currently investigating and has zero obligation to inform the public or release any key information before they are ready. We are armchair sleuths, and LE are professional sleuths.

Think about the quantity of information that LE must have - we cannot imagine how much there is because we are not privy to it. Roadside Nick is probably a tiny fragment of a tip of an iceberg of possibly useful and possibly useless information. Imagine what’s under the surface.

IMO we are spending way too much time on roadside Nick. I’m not saying it’s meaningless but I’m saying it may pale in comparison to the massive quantity and likely quality of data that LE has.

Anyone remember last fall as we waited for months for updates from LE on Gerrish Chung?
We had a lot of wild goose chases online.
This wait while LE follows their processes and procedures is normal.

BBM that is not what she said. No one thinks that. Maybe you perceive it that way.
About this Nick RA thing, I dont think one single poster on here thinks he didnt get a service call. It was real. No one would be that idiotic to report to LE they had a service call that they could not back up. The questions are, Who were the clients, and when did he service them% He says he cannot remember the date, but we know, we all know, that his company has that info!
With this guy, We dont know who and we dont know when, and that just makes any amateur or REAL detective wonder, why% I honestly think Nick RA was set up, who knows if he knew this thing would mushroom on SM like it did.
