I am a bit behind since late last night so sorry if this has been posted (I will go back to catch up, but also want to be current!). And I offer this idea with a wink in my eye because the odds are highly unlikely... But...

What if KR and her car were dumped into Prosser Reservoir (down that dirt / beach stretch) AFTER LE had finished their grid-type search of the reservoir... meaning, what if in the dead of night late last week someone moved KR's car?

I don't think that could be possible, there have been search teams and campers, boaters, people paddling etc and I'm sure LE would be keeping some kind of an eye on the area one way or another. JMO

I think they would be taking a very high risk

I was thinking about Kiely probably knowing the area and why she would choose that route.

Perhaps there were a lot of cars coming and going, and she thought that she could avoid the congestion by taking a “short cut”.

Maybe then, she became disoriented and that’s how she ended up where she did. JMO.

Still praying for her family and friends.
Yes, @Gigi3. I have also considered that KR may have forgotten to put her headlights on fully (maybe only parking lights since people leaving the party may have only used parking lights to avoid blinding people with headlights)? And what if she was distracted somehow by making a phone call or texting as she left the party... then looked up when it was too late.

I have also wondered if she tried the old method of getting out of a sinking car - opening all the windows. That used to be the way to do it - widely educated to the public in the past. But AWP made it clear in their video - that is WRONG!

Is this where the announcement can be seen live? If not, does anyone have a link, please? TIA!
Looks like it will be here. Don't worry, there will be links.

There's a forum here for Jolissa.

thank you @justme11! i’m glad there’s a forum for her - I searched for her but was spelling her name wrong.

That's just not normal criminal behavior, and that's assuming something like that was even possible in the first place.

One scenario is that you have an intoxicated teenager who had an (unfortunately) all too common type of accident.

The other scenario is basically a bad movie plot that would take stunning luck.

I mean I don't think this happened in this case, and it's pretty unheard of but let's not forget Letecia Stauch retrieving her victims body and loading him up in a U-Haul to drive across country to Florida.

Sometimes perp's are unpredictable.

It's a weird (and IMO inaccurate) description of them.

"On Thursday, the number of personnel assigned to search for Rodni was 73. Searchers will soon be joined by a rogue search and rescue group Adventures with Purpose, according to the sheriff's office."

‘Rogue’ in this context sounds to me like the words of an irresponsible journalist .

Apologies to the journalist if it was in fact a direct quote from LE.

MOO

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I hope we will get accurate toxicology reports to clarify this, but the only reason we have to believe Kiely even consumed a single alcoholic beverage is from her friend's statement. Isn't that right?

People talk about jumping to conclusions, disparaging people, etc., but aren't we in a way doing that by jumping to the conclusion that Kiely was "wasted," just because one person says so?

Kiely was pretty thin and also young, so I do think it is safe to assume to a degree that she would have gotten intoxicated fairly easily. I think we can trust she was drinking. I don't think she had Sprite when SS and the other friends were in the CRV drinking and charging phones.

It is a good point that toxicology would show more about what went on. Just how impaired she was, and what she may have consumed is not clear.

But we know she was drinking, and we know she unfortunately ended up in the water. :(

I'm not completely letting go of the possibility of a crime or OD with a coverup, but it is looking more like an accident. Even with the windows down. I mentioned earlier about Navy training on exiting a crashed helo in the water. In that exercise, we underwent training prior to going into the simulator. Controlled condition. We KNEW we were going in. We had divers there for safely, including one in the simulator with us. Still it was unnerving and there would still be someone who didn't do well in spite of all that. And here we have a case in uncontrolled conditions, at night, alcohol involved and the car turning upside down in the dark causing a lack of orientation of not only what is up or down but where you even are in the car. I think back to a college classmate who went into the bayou in his truck and was lucky to have manually operated windows. It happened to him in the dark and he managed to get both himself and his date out. We laughed about it at the time not really knowing how fortunate he was. That event gave me false confidence in surviving in a car in the water.

I did wonder about the car haulers, and Hot August Nights....

BUT? I have a very active imagination.

Also, if it is not obvious yet, I like exploring out of the box theories, but I'm not cemented to any of them.

And edited: No, I really do not think that is likely either. But I did consider one could have moved her elsewhere, before she was found. If someone DID bring her back to Prosser?? That;s just crazy....

Make me think that maybe someone else drove it in.

Jmo
I keep thinking that while she may have accidentally driven in due to being intoxicated... that someone else drove her somewhere to have their way with her, and then tried to get rid of all evidence (body, car, etc.). If the latter, hopefully they can get DNA from her private parts and under her fingernails. IF someone cut her life short they don't deserve to get away with it. All MOO.
