I just don't think it's a woman at all. The frame looks like a typical medium build male with the thick longer torso, the chest/shoulder is strong. It almost gives off a wearing chest waders profile like something might be zipped in the front ab area. I might be wrong, it could be Minnie Mouse underneath.

Missy Bevers perp could definitely be a woman to me.
Yes, I think there's a reason the FBI describes the porch masked man as a male of average build, 5 feet 9-10 inches in height.

I don't think I commented on the first go round. Dismissed the idea. But it did occur to me. Since someone brought it up again I thought I would chime it.

I have commented on that phallic placement of the gun a number of times. As a mental health professional it bothered me, a sign of an immature, sexually aggressive and threatening male. It did not bode well for NG.

A male might have to tolerate discomfort with that gun placement as you point out, so it must have been important to him.

But a female trying to disguise herself as male wouldn't worry about that. And as everyone points out, a woman wouldn't put a gun in that placement. What better disguise then. No one would suspect a woman of doing that. The good news is the risk to NG would be greatly lowered if this was just part of a female disguising as male.

I have for some reason been thinking about a male/female team. It makes sense to position the female as the perimeter/ front lookout, and driver. She can also quickly take off the disguise and look like an ordinary female driving a car. She will be low on the suspect list. Male is in the house handling that part of the crime. And in the back of the car with the victim.

All this said, I have no agenda about this idea. Just thinking out loud.
I think lantana is a man. But I do think it’s plausible a woman could be an accomplice

Is it checked patterning? Or camouflage? Or something else.
Digital camouflage? I don't see the horizontal seam across the chest, so I don't think it's the same jacket that he's wearing with the backpack. Maybe it's another night, or another guy?

Random Things that puzzle me:
If she was asleep, how did the blood spatter containing mucus end up outside her front door? If this occurred while she was asleep, did she get up and answer the door and get punched in the face? If they pushed her back inside, disabled her and took her out through the garage in the trunk of a car, that would explain the blood and no footage of her exiting the house—I would think LE could rule out exit paths from the footage they have.

If she was asleep, and rudely awakened, could she have been startled and had a heart attack and died?

How do the kidnappers think they are going to get the money and escape?

I think the demands for 100,000.00 was an idiot who was trying to jump on the bandwagon.

Jen Coffendafer (sp) flat out named the son-in-law and said she had fbi source that she trusted. I found that odd. The next day the sheriff said info from streamers was incorrect. Did the FBI asks her to do that to “rattle the cage” so to speak?

Two days later, LE impounded a vehicle from the family.

Someone mentioned that the Tucson Rock and Gem show was happening around that time; said Guthrie’s $$$ came from gemstones. Said neighbor was involved with the show.

I typically think LE has info they’re not releasing but I think an arrest would have been made by now—but without a body—can’t make a case.

I tend to think it may be a woman; that mustache looks like it was drawn on by magic marker. Hard to tell with the low quality. Would a man wear a pistol pointing at his crotch? Odd placement. Perhaps inexperience? Would be odd for a woman to do this.

Anyway, just some thoughts. So far the only fact I’m aware of is the video and the car being impounded.

Just some thoughts.
Just my opinion, the eyes and eyebrows of the perp always looked like a woman to me. But the body looked like a man. So I’m guessing he wore a face mask and maybe it had eyebrows? The eyes are real.
Lots of questions for all of us.

Not shooting down your idea of it being someone from base nearby but camo doesn't automatically mean military. Most service members don't wear OCP pants with regular clothes cuz it's corny. Usually homeless people pick up these pants at goodwill or army navy stores. Also OCP pants have a billion cargo pockets that would be noticeable in the video without enhancements.

Source me cuz i'm in the Army

Don't see any camo pants just what looks to be a camo field coat or rip stop jacket.

I'm sure you know this already being an Army guy/gal, but bases are like their own cities within cities. They carry many of the same characteristics of cities like violent crime (if less proportionate) and serious mental illness (again, less proportionate). More importantly, it's oft-difficult for FBI or state/local authorities to align/coordinate with a military base due to its unique legal processes/law enforcement/jurisdiction/protocols, etc.

Was just saying I hope they are considering it. Although lantana does seem a little chubbers for active duty military. 😂

BBM - it was still low 40s as a low temp in the Catalina Foothills around that date though. Pants and a jacket would be normal. (Arizonans would think 40 is chilly AF!) Arizonans will wear hoodies at 70 degrees. Brrr! 😂

Not quite that cold on 1/31-2/1, according to timeanddate, if accurate.

The graph on the left, highlighted in yellow, is for Jan 31–from 6pm to 12am.

The graph on the right, highlighted in yellow, is for Feb 1–from 12am to 6am.

Still somewhat cool (somewhere between 52°—55°F?) (or 11°—13°C).

Perhaps not military, but militia?

Has anyone thought that maybe the mask was intended to resemble Spiderman? I know this is a far out idea, especially because Spiderman's mouth is covered, but a full mouth covering wouldn't allow for a bite light.

MOO.

Since you asked I don't think "mask wearer" was conscientiously trying to resemble Spiderman. If he did it wasn't intentional IMO.

Understood, was just going off Tucson’s reporting . This would still be chilly enough for people to wear a jacket in AZ.

I think, when this case is solved, it's going to end up being a single perpetrator, burglary gone wrong. Based on what has been disseminated to us so far, I think LD is LG/PG.

This is just my opinion.

I hope Sargent Cross has a superior poker face, because BEs show left me feeling they do not have a poi. I'm not religious, but I am praying for the Guthries. Everytime I think about SGs latest video and her deep yearning to have NG back in some form, I want to cry.

I'm not sure if K9s were brought in IMMEDIATELY but there was at least one (TMZ - Border Patrol K9) brought in by border patrol after ransom note #1 was received. Their dogs are often cross trained in multiple different "fields" of scent detection.

My girl specifically is trained for live tracking, so the sooner she can get on a scent the better. K9s trained for search and rescue not only work on the trail, they also can find objects with the scent on it which often helps confirm you are getting somewhere. My girl doesn't focus heavily/too long on "dropped" items so you've got a real quick window with her to note it and flag someone to get to it. The science of scent is incredibly fascinating (to me at least) but based on wind patterns and where a scent can "pool" (settling into crevices/dips/brushy areas/etc) you can get an idea of the direction often. If the wind is insane it complicates things. Other weather can enhance/lessen the scent. Thanks to where we live, my girl has trained in crawfish ponds and a foot or two of water, so it can really depend on the surfaces the dog has trained on, as well as the age of the track. Sooner a dog hits the ground running, the better obviously.

My 2nd K9 is training for HRD (Human Remains Detection). He's an idiot mutt and is insanely high energy which is what you want in a dog to cut loose to make a body recovery. These dogs often work a specifically outlined area and they usually run the perimeter and slowly circle in to "clear" an area. These k9s aren't looking for anything but the scent of HUMAN decomposition. Not dead animals, not rotting food, human decomposition only. I have seen dogs in boats locate bodies under water from the gases that come up out of the water, I've watched a Malinois damn near climb a tree to get to training remains located 12-15 feet up off the ground in the tree branches.

Like I mentioned above, before I started rambling about k9s (SORRRRRYYYY Y'ALL) a lot of military and LE handled dogs are cross trained. Our organization chooses not to cross train because we've found that our bloodhounds actually get pretty depressed for several days after making a body recovery. German shepherds, Malinois, Dutch Shepards don't get bothered as much because they are motivated by a different reward, which is why you see more of these dogs in military & LE. Less dogs to house/feed/train. But a bloodhound will always be the superior tracker ;)

To go back to the point of NG's case, not only could/would tracking dogs have tracked for NG, they also could pick up a scent off anything a perp dropped/touched/walked through. As long as they've got a starting scent, dogs will go. It's on the handler to decipher their signals. My girl gets really upset when she loses the scent (ex: scent took off in a car) and it's obvious she's lost it. She also does a "proximity alert" when she is right on top of an abundance of scent and she can't quite pinpoint where she wants to go because the scent is so strong and overwhelming. I've watched her look at her "find" straight on but she waits on her nose to confirm the person she is staring at is the one she's looking for. Just because my k9 isn't trained for HRD doesn't mean she doesn't sometimes make a recovery and not a "rescue". You just never know.

At this point with NG if we see dogs again I would expect to see them in a very specific location that is NOT NGs home. Whether they would be looking for suspects, a body (eek), or evidence, at this point they wouldn't be combing through anywhere other than a place they had good reason to believe one of those things would be & it would look pretty different than what an initial k9 search/track would look like.

I am so so sorry this got so long. I've either had too much coffee, not enough sleep, not enough adderall or not enough coffee. Only time will tell.

A beautiful tribute to your canines, and it gives us some insight into your world and the massively important work that you perform.

Thank you for sharing.

My theory (first try):

If the restaurant is across N's property, then in general a restaurant worker (or owner) would have been in N's area already and hadn't to drive up and down by night, seen on surveillance. His vehicle could have parked across N's property at the restaurant, from the worker's shift start to the time, when he would have needed it again.

Also he would have had the opportunity to stalk N's property by night, after shift end, a few times previous to the date of N's kidnapping. Again: his vehicle could have parked across the street at the restaurant, when he was scouting N's property. Again nothing interesting to be seen on surveillance, only a worker, who arrives for his shift and leaves at various times after his shift (as often usual for these people).

From Saturday to Sunday the time of restaurant opening maybe more extensive (Idk the restaurant), so it makes sense, when the attack on N started late in a weekend night.

A restaurant worker would probably know Nancy and her large property, maybe also knows of her Celebrity daughter. To get ransom could have been an idea, which developed more or less slowly. Debt, addiction to alcohol and/or drugs - who knows, how necessary it seemed to get money.

All MOO and speculation.
I'm way behind in this thread because it is moving very very fast...what restaurant? lol

ETA: Oh, I get it---the black glove was from a restaurant worker so we are looking at that connection?

"We knew that at that time, we believed wholeheartedly that those gloves belonged to a restaurant and guess what? The owner of the glove, we found working at a restaurant across the street," Nanos said during the interview.

The sheriff's department posted to X on March 4 to confirm that the individual is "not part of this investigation."

It's very sad to see this case apparently going nowhere.
I have some hope that, like in the idaho 4 case, behind the scenes leads are quietly being followed, and IGG will provide the answer.
IIRC it took about a little over a month for the ancestry DNA analysis to lead investigators to Kohberger.
I remember watching CeCe Moore explain on BE's YouTube that some ethnicities take longer than others because (for example) less latinos are doing ancestry tests compared to caucasians, so there's less of a database.
So I guess it may take a bit more time if that's the case, but I still hope that they might be able to untangle it.
That being said, I found the sheriffs statement that this could take months or years extremely disheartening.

I've heard internet rumors that NG's bedsheets were missing from her bed. Can someone here please tell me if this is confirmed or just a baseless rumor?
