I just don't think it's a woman at all. The frame looks like a typical medium build male with the thick longer torso, the chest/shoulder is strong. It almost gives off a wearing chest waders profile like something might be zipped in the front ab area. I might be wrong, it could be Minnie Mouse underneath.

Missy Bevers perp could definitely be a woman to me.
Yes, I think there's a reason the FBI describes the porch masked man as a male of average build, 5 feet 9-10 inches in height.

I don't think I commented on the first go round. Dismissed the idea. But it did occur to me. Since someone brought it up again I thought I would chime it.

I have commented on that phallic placement of the gun a number of times. As a mental health professional it bothered me, a sign of an immature, sexually aggressive and threatening male. It did not bode well for NG.

A male might have to tolerate discomfort with that gun placement as you point out, so it must have been important to him.

But a female trying to disguise herself as male wouldn't worry about that. And as everyone points out, a woman wouldn't put a gun in that placement. What better disguise then. No one would suspect a woman of doing that. The good news is the risk to NG would be greatly lowered if this was just part of a female disguising as male.

I have for some reason been thinking about a male/female team. It makes sense to position the female as the perimeter/ front lookout, and driver. She can also quickly take off the disguise and look like an ordinary female driving a car. She will be low on the suspect list. Male is in the house handling that part of the crime. And in the back of the car with the victim.

All this said, I have no agenda about this idea. Just thinking out loud.
I think lantana is a man. But I do think it’s plausible a woman could be an accomplice

Is it checked patterning? Or camouflage? Or something else.
Digital camouflage? I don't see the horizontal seam across the chest, so I don't think it's the same jacket that he's wearing with the backpack. Maybe it's another night, or another guy?

Random Things that puzzle me:
If she was asleep, how did the blood spatter containing mucus end up outside her front door? If this occurred while she was asleep, did she get up and answer the door and get punched in the face? If they pushed her back inside, disabled her and took her out through the garage in the trunk of a car, that would explain the blood and no footage of her exiting the house—I would think LE could rule out exit paths from the footage they have.

If she was asleep, and rudely awakened, could she have been startled and had a heart attack and died?

How do the kidnappers think they are going to get the money and escape?

I think the demands for 100,000.00 was an idiot who was trying to jump on the bandwagon.

Jen Coffendafer (sp) flat out named the son-in-law and said she had fbi source that she trusted. I found that odd. The next day the sheriff said info from streamers was incorrect. Did the FBI asks her to do that to “rattle the cage” so to speak?

Two days later, LE impounded a vehicle from the family.

Someone mentioned that the Tucson Rock and Gem show was happening around that time; said Guthrie’s $$$ came from gemstones. Said neighbor was involved with the show.

I typically think LE has info they’re not releasing but I think an arrest would have been made by now—but without a body—can’t make a case.

I tend to think it may be a woman; that mustache looks like it was drawn on by magic marker. Hard to tell with the low quality. Would a man wear a pistol pointing at his crotch? Odd placement. Perhaps inexperience? Would be odd for a woman to do this.

Anyway, just some thoughts. So far the only fact I’m aware of is the video and the car being impounded.

Just some thoughts.
Just my opinion, the eyes and eyebrows of the perp always looked like a woman to me. But the body looked like a man. So I’m guessing he wore a face mask and maybe it had eyebrows? The eyes are real.
Lots of questions for all of us.

Not shooting down your idea of it being someone from base nearby but camo doesn't automatically mean military. Most service members don't wear OCP pants with regular clothes cuz it's corny. Usually homeless people pick up these pants at goodwill or army navy stores. Also OCP pants have a billion cargo pockets that would be noticeable in the video without enhancements.

Source me cuz i'm in the Army

Don't see any camo pants just what looks to be a camo field coat or rip stop jacket.

I'm sure you know this already being an Army guy/gal, but bases are like their own cities within cities. They carry many of the same characteristics of cities like violent crime (if less proportionate) and serious mental illness (again, less proportionate). More importantly, it's oft-difficult for FBI or state/local authorities to align/coordinate with a military base due to its unique legal processes/law enforcement/jurisdiction/protocols, etc.

Was just saying I hope they are considering it. Although lantana does seem a little chubbers for active duty military. 😂

This sounds like a story from the Midwest Pundit... Please verify info before spreading speculation.
No - I'm local in Tucson in a "neighborhood" that is chock full of law enforcement members. Neighbors chat. (I suppose any of these LE could have been following that person you mentioned - but they don't seem like the type that would follow anyone talking about the case.)
