The only Hispanic "Mario" I could find in Namus who went missing prior to that date is this one, and I don't see any strong similarities at all (Doe Network link):

I am not surprised sadly. I know a few long time residents that live in this town. I showed them the poster and they knew nothing about it even though they lived right near this location at the time. They said there is such low crime in town and insisted they would have remembered something like this. Maybe it just didn’t get a lot of attention at the time?

That’s awful . I wonder if the guy was arrested. Wouldn’t it make sense that Mario might be from ElSalvador too? They said “Mexican”. I wonder if they seem to know that to be true that he was from Mexico?

His killer's name is Pedro Pallacios, he was 25 at the time.
