MCSO - Press Release - 2024-10-29, MCSO Case #2024-18111 (Missing Person Investigation)

The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office is currently assisting the Anaheim Police Department in attempting to locate Kojoe (no last name). Kojoe is described as a 59-year old African American male adult, approximately 5'9" and 170lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. See above photograph.

Kojoe was last seen in Anaheim, CA on 6/26/24. It was believed Kojoe was going to Yosemite National Park for the weekend and planned to return on 6/29/24. However, Kojoe did not return and has not be heard from since. Family has tried to contact his cell phone, but the phone goes straight to voicemail.

On 8/16/24, the California Highway Patrol located Kojoe's vehicle (2009 black Infiniti M35) on State Route Hwy 128 (Navarro, CA) a few miles east of Paul Dimmick Campground. An initial search of the area was conducted, but Kojoe was not located. Additional searches of the area where Kojoe's vehicle was located have been conducted with Search & Rescue personnel, but did not yield investigative leads, and Kojoe remains missing.

Anaheim Police Department is currently investigating leads into the whereabouts of Kojoe.

Authorities in a Northern California county announced Tuesday that they have located the vehicle of an Orange County man who has been missing since June.

He told the family he would be staying in Yosemite for a photography trip. He left in his 2001 blk Infinity M35 and has not been heard from since. A patrol check of Yosemite NP had negative results.
