Are we sure they are the same person ?

I’m not sure it’s same jacket, shoes or mask

No, not sure. It is possible it is a different man connected to lantana man. This may be what Kash meant when he said "persons of interest" were in and around the area.

I acknowledge the man without a backpack looks shorter, heavier, and his shoes appear to have a black line on the sides (possibly a Nike swoosh?). His feet appear smaller too.

I don't know if the fact that he is further back and at an angle would alter the perception of his height etc.

Not discounting it is a different man but to me the jacket appears very similar with the line across the chest. The mask looks similar to me too but just looks like the bottom part is out of the jacket not tucked into the jacket like lantana man's is.

Not at all. You got a source for such a large claim?
I also remember reading this same explanation for the photo without pistol and backpack on this thread, very shortly after the video and stills were posted here. I do not remember if the poster provided a source. I kept hoping whomever posted this the first time would weigh in here again. If someone bookmarked that post, please speak up!

If the vehicle had GPS could the FBI / Law Enforcement not get tracking data from the various / number of satellites out there.

There are quite a few satellites doing all sorts of things i.e. mapping, monitoring etc.

I thought that a friend called LE when she didn't show up for church, and then AG. It was a neighbor? The neighbor called APS?
I'm still perplexed by this. What prompted the neighbor to call APS?

According to the timeline we have, NG was dropped off between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday. Then she failed to attend the virtual church service at her friend's house on Sunday. This prompted the friend to call AG, who went to the home, found NG missing, and called LE.

Where did the neighbor come in? If she was also at the church service, certainly there was a discussion among the attendees regarding NG's whereabouts and the decision to call AG. So why call APS? And if the neighbor was not at the church service, again, why call APS?

1.) When wondering why the masked person would throw out his own glove, rather than privately get rid of it…what if he took it off in the car and Nancy grabbed it and threw it out the window. He wouldn’t be able to stop and get out or she could lock the car or drive it away. Or, there was some reason they got out of the car and he didn’t even realize she had it and dropped it.

2.) It would be great if we could see the rest of the video where he is actually trying to remove the doorbell camera up until it disconnects. Seems like it would be helpful to see him move more, what tools he used (if any), etc?

It is interesting to see all the precautions he took like gloves, mask etc. Yet holds a flashlight in his mouth full of saliva. Makes me think if he ever took it out of his mouth to communicate with Nancy. Is he that dumb that he never considered that his saliva is full of his dna?

Another poster mentioned here that it is possible that more door nest cam footage that we haven't seen could have revealed that the perp's DNA should be on that porch in a specific area and they collected it when they did the height measurement.

Wasn't it right after the tent went up at Nancy's door and walk way that LE stated they have unknown male DNA and it doesn't belong to Nancy's family members, friends, etc.?

Snipped by me

I can’t get past how full the backpack was. Typically a burglar with a backpack would have it to put things in as he steals them. A burglar might have a few tools - lock picks or pry bars or something but not a backpack full of whatever he has in there.
There is one brief moment in the FBI nest footage they have released, where as the perp has his back turned and is going for the lantana there APPEARS to be something sticking out of the R side of the backpack. I can’t tell what it is, if anything at all, and it very well could be shadow distortion. It bugs me. Here’s Left and right side views of the backpack.

These images are my screenshots from the FBI page showing the video

Edited by me to add the same picture but without my highlight around it.

I'm starting to really think this was a planned kidnapping on an alive person who passed in the house or shortly after and they still sent ransom notes but couldn't do proof of life?

If it's a large enough county, the APS response might even be part of an automated process. I, too, don't put much significance into it.

Great point. Possibly via the Arizona DPS alert?

I'm not liking those spots I'm seeing on lantana man's jacket where he is standing by the walkway without his backpack on.

This still picture is what leads me to think more than 1 individual is involved. if in fact it was taken the same night. In this picture there is a black strip on shoes that I don’t see on lantana suspect. Jacket appears to be camouflage. Face covering not tucked into jacket or different type or size. Also in this picture I notice more of a pooch in the belly area. The legs also appear a bit thinner. I’d say this suspect is older than lantana suspect. Interesting that he’s not also carrying a backpack, but I suppose no need when the backpack we do see is packed to the brim.

Still holding out hope for some good news about Nancy today. My heart breaks for her family. :(

JMO, I think this was a targeted kidnapping by a deranged, obsessive fan of SG or someone who felt slighted and upset with Nancy or the family for some reason, although it would be hard to imagine what that could be.

I think a botched burglary would end up with Nancy being left inside the home. If she knew or recognized the perp under all that garb, they could have killed and left her there, gotten whatever they wanted and slipped away, not drawing this massive LE/Media attention. Unless of course that was exactly what they wanted. To cause as much hurt and suffering to the Guthrie family as possible.

IDK, I change my mind daily because it's just so darn bizarre. :( I do believe there is much more known by LE than we are aware of and that is how it should be. I feel that too much information has already been shared and regurgitated like phone tag. It's an active, ongoing criminal investigation, LE doesn't have a duty to inform the public at all. The positive exception being the releasing of the front door video in an effort to identify the perp.

MOO

Most likely, LE knows that NG is no longer alive. I believe they're using the "signal Sniffer" to locate her body. MOO
Not if perp destroys the pacemaker. These people are SICK!

I’ve been confused about the photo without the backpack. At first I thought it was explained that this photo was offered to give the public an idea of what suspect would look like without the weight of backpack…to get a better idea of body structure? There are definitely differences in shoes, mask and jacket in this still photo VS video. I’ve also found that this picture is much more difficult to find online than the video.

I might be mistaken, but I thought the sheriff said that a neighbor called Adult Protective Services. That sounds to me like someone reached out to them specifically, not that they attended as part of a law enforcement action. MOO

What is the source for the suspect without the backpack? Looks AI generated to me.

All IMO

The eyes are usually a good giveaway when someone tries to hide behind a mask.
Do you think these are the same eyes?

Symbolism creates powerful messages the family needs, understanding the emotions felt by both the sender and receiver. How thoughtful of the today show.

I heard in all the noise about this case that a “silver alert” (like an amber alert but for an older adult) was issued for Nancy early on and that automatically triggers an APS referral.
