As a few users have mentioned there is a photograph of the missing person at the scene of the crash. It looks to me like he has blood on his face, with a rather large streak of blood on his forehead. Could this be evidence of a head injury?

The cab driver said that he didn't notice any injuries, but it's possible the cab driver just didn't look at him for long enough especially if he got in the back of the car.

He was was not working as an EMT or firefighter that we know of. He had received TRAINING as such Cal Fire academy graduate and EMT student at Shasta College and he it was stated in multiple articles that he "DREAMED of being a first responder". He is NOT certified by the State of California for any EMT role. Verification

It is unknown if he had employment outside of his academic program which his family may well have been providing for (including living expenses, if they were so able).

The info on the cash is limited. That one aspect of this still has me wondering if he took it to go away, but why not take his wallet?

The earrings, my thought, is he found them somewhere, school/home/car, assumed he knew who they belonged to and tucked them into his pocket to return them. Just my opinion. None of his friends have mentioned a girlfriend.

Despite what the media reports, ICE isn't just snatching tons of random people off the streets and those taken into detainment are entered into a database so if you know their country of birth you can easily see if they were apprehended, not necesesarily where they are AT now, but that they indeed were picked up. LE would't alert ICE just because of a traffic accident involving a single passenger/single vehicle accident not anywhere near the border. (i.e. suspected human smuggling). He is currently NOT in the ICE Database, I checked that first thing.

His friends said he wasn't known to hike or climb. Dispersed camping is illegal in national parks except in VERY remote areas, and then it's not conducive to groups due to limitations on access to food/water/supplies, etc. So I don't see a large group of immigrants living up in the high county that he would have known ahead of time were there to meet up with.
I can tell you from experience that ICE is doing mass pickups of the streets and at restaurants and convenience stores, and often when that happens, their information is slow to update or entered incorrectly. I helped someone look for a neighbor for 2 weeks who we knew had been picked up, but who wasn’t in the system and who they denied detaining, so it is possible. Although I think it’s much more likely he had a head injury and behaved erratically as a result and succumbed to that since, especially since it’s been 2 months now.

What an odd story?
Hey ,
Have you noticed a delay in the media with the missing people's cases lately?

I live near enough to Redding that it's one of my sources for "local" news and I follow several news stations in the area. I have not seen any news that ICE has been active anywhere in the vicinity. In fact the Redding protest thst happened was protesting against ICE activity in Los Angeles, not locally.

I agree with you that it's probably a head injury and he has probably succumbed from that and environmental exposure wherever he is.

Looks like he has a large bump on the middle of his forehead ,the bruising looks like it runs into his cut . If this is right after the accident ,in the next hours that swelling likely got worse . His eyes would have for sure blacken over the next few hours. So I say head injury very possible. IMO ,no a nurse or doctor . Just a mom.

Lesner supposedly left the scene before LE got there. In that picture where Lesner is standing in the middle of the road, there is a person in the driver's seat of whichever vehicle that is, so at least one other person was outside that vehicle taking that picture. I wonder who that person is. It seems strange to me that a stranger is taking a photograph of someone who has just been in an accident.
Maybe to show him his own injuries?

Hey, there's no "just" about being a mom! You're a trouble-shooter extraordinaire!

I saw a report on the thread where the driver did not notice anything . However , we have this picture. Which kinda shows the driver was not looking .
