Wonder if the John/Linda Sohus case has a life of its own and this fella just walked through it by accident?

That postcard from Linda to a co-worker was sent from France. The co-worker said it looked like Linda's handwriting and it dosen't look like CKG left the country during this time.

is there an issue with Christian and Sandra's marriage...where is the divorce decree from the first wife....are they legally married..is this why the certificate was not filed....is this why the 2007 divorce papers are sealed...

I found the story of how he ended up in the US facinating. From what I have read, an American couple were visiting Germany and met him. They gave him their address and told him if he ever got to the US to look them up. One day they answered their doorbell and there he stood. They weren't prepared for him to stay with him so they helped him to find another place to stay. He was young enough that he registered in high school after getting here.

The article about the family doesn't mention if they knew he was leaving or if the mother gave permission for him to leave. But about his mother being in S. Africa, it does say that he was born and raised and his brother was born and raised in the house in Germany that his GF built with his own hands (georgous house).

From what I've read, Sandra left the paperwork up to Clark. There is no paperwork to be found so it would seem that legally they were not married. Somewhere I believe I read that the "divorce" was turned into a custody case.

I asked re mother/ S. Aficia previous to the news of family came out. Clearly another lie. I thought the house was quite charming!

I thought of that too. But first wife got remarried, so I would guess that she thinks she is divorced.

Records reviewed by The Associated Press show that after Gerhartsreiter left Connecticut, he went to Wisconsin, where he married 22-year-old Amy Jersild on Feb. 20, 1981, in a civil ceremony at the Dane County courthouse in Madison. He was 19 at the time — and the marriage enabled him to get a green card.
He left the next day, according to divorce records Jersild filed 11 years later. On them, she listed his address as "unknown."

It might be that the first "wife" allowed CKG to file all the paperwork also so no divorce required. Or she could have filed on her own claiming desertion.
