Now the Suffolk County [Mass.] district attorney's office says it wants to revise the criminal complaint to reflect his real name and detail how he duped cops about his identity.

"We will not rule out additional charges down the road," said Jake Wark, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Conley. "We will amend the complaint to reflect his true identity once we have that confirmed." The additional charges could earn Gerhartsreiter a stiffer prison sentence

Now we know where he got some of his money!!

"If it came to troublemaking, he was the first to join in," said Neumayer, a tall woodworker who lives just outside of Bergen and spoke as his family packed the truck for a road trip to Croatia. As a teenager, Gerhartsreiter was a bit rebellious and was known to carouse with other youths at local bars, Neumayer said. "He really didn't let his parents tell him what to do," he said. "He did what he wanted to do."

Luise Huber, who runs a hardwood shop a few doors from the Gerhartsreiter home, said Gerhartsreiter's mother once told her that her son would be coming home. He had written her a letter telling her of his plans, but he never returned. Irmgard Gerhartsreiter, who is in her 80s, never let on that she was upset, Huber said. "She wouldn't let people know that if she was disappointed," she said.

The parents initially supported their son financially in the United States but eventually stopped, said Huber. "They said, 'we don't send him money anymore because he has money himself,' " Huber said.

Good morning Knoxx! His lawyer is going to continue to say that Gerhardstreiter suffers from amnesia. That's his line right now and I don't see him acknowledging the truth even when presented with it.

Debate: Clark Rockefeller: Evil Mastermind or Total Douche?

I vote for the latter!

Surprising and unbelieveable and so true...

But his classmates at the time were surprised when they learned he suddenly left for America, Neumayer said, and some speculated that perhaps he was trying to get out of military service, which all German men must do once they turn 18. Men can also volunteer for civilian duty for the government.

Sounds like he bled his family of whatever he could get and when he started bragging about having money it backfired on him and they stopped supporting him.

you know with him dodging the draft...maybe this is why his parents helped him out as they knew that is why he left..you think?

Do you see the FBI taking him back to Germany?

Do you see the FBI taking him back to Germany?

I see them trying mightily to figure out his connection to the Sohus disappearance. If they can make anything stick, he'll be here for life in prison. I don't think they'll want to expel him because if they did and then found later that he could be charged with murder, extraditing the man from Germany would not be a picnic, legally-speaking. Germany and Austria have some remarkably liberal laws and even cushy prisons, and a lot of European anti-death penalty advocates are in those countries.

America will hang onto the guy as long as they can in an effort to figure out what he's really been up to.

Some might call that a prank. I call it someone who disregard someone else's feelings or whether they get hurt.

But the boy was known to push limits, according to a town innkeeper, who said Christian once blew pepper in the eyes of his fifth-grade teacher as a prank, tricking her into looking at his palm before dousing her in the face.

According to that timeline on that link it's not known where he was during the years, 1982, 1986, 1987, 1999, 1990-1994.

"Rockefeller says he was traumatized by the death of his parents in an auto accident and became mute for 10 years.

During the divorce he claims he doesn't remember anything before 1993."

Now he's telling his lawyer he remembers bits and peices. PFFFT!!
