Knoxx, I'm thinking more about the money BEFORE he met up with Sandra Boss and married her. Although, if he was pulling scams while married to her and obtaining monies, that also could be looked at.

I wish in a way we could hear more from her and maybe all of this will fall into place...but in saying that I can understand her silence.

No, money she paid him as part of the settlement I believe is taxable. It is in no way a gift. He took the money settlement versus producing his birth certificate to show his identity.

Knoxx, I believe we'll hear more from her once a trial gets underway.

Ya gotta love that he once raised his own rent.

He must think that if he refuses to talk and pretends not to remember his past that things will just go away, or that his lawyer will get him off.

Knoxx, I believe we'll hear more from her once a trial gets underway.

But I thought I read that they were going to drop the kidnapping charges?

What do you mean tapu?

  • #409
I haven't heard anything about dropping any charges.

His lawyer is claiming that he couldn't "kidnap" his own daughter, but that's a crock o' bull according to the state laws.

http://www.firstwivesworld.com/relevant-news/tags/child-abduction
The London papers reported that Boss, who made more than $1 million a year, paid "Rockefeller" $1.5 million last year in exchange for exclusive custody of their daughter, Reigh. The sticking point for shared custody, Boss said, was that she wanted to see "Clark Rockefeller's" valid birth certificate, and to know, finally, who her husband of 12 years really was. He refused to reveal his identity, took the money, and began plotting their daughter's abduction, including buying an apartment in Baltimore under another assumed name.

She, finally sure that he wasn't a Rockefeller, changed their daughter's last name to Boss

That's ok Knoxx. :) I read where the DA said there was a possibility of adding more charges.

I agree I seen that article, but I thought a couple days later I seen another one and that got me to thinking that maybe Sandra had somethihng to do about it with changing their decision....

  • #416
Most likely I misunderstood......need to go and put Sunday dinner on table....

  • #417
IMO Sandra Boss has no control over the charges. Bon apetit!

What do you mean tapu?

Just that the guy is so over the top in so many ways and has been, obviously, for freakin' ever. I mean, he actually ran the Algonquin Club at one point, while falsely claiming to be a Rockefeller.

I don't mean to minimize the possible murder connection and other more serious possibilities and actualities of his life but sheesh, he is a oner.

Does this make anyone else think of "Ripley"? Although THAT was fiction, at least....

  • #420
Yes, that description "The talented Mr. Ripley" was brought up in news articles too. I haven't seen the movie. I take it the movie was about a con artist? I agree, he is way over the top!
