Well, seems Clark called himself Christopher Chichester because he figured it would help him become the next Max Von Sydow.

Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Remember Tommy Flanagan? He was the endearing pathological liar Jon Lovitz played on “Saturday Night Live.” “Yeah, that’s the ticket!” was how Tommy connected one whopper to an even bigger one.

Now it seems that the miracle of memory is starting to return to one gnome-like con man locked up at Nashua Street. Yes, Clark can remember being the talented Mr. Chichester. But Hrones says his “eccentric” little hustler has no memory of ever murdering anybody. Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Rockefeller Limo Driver: I Believed Him

"Totally," Hopkins said. "Everything about him, the way he talked. He talks kind of like Thurston Howell the Third."
....Darn I was going to say that the other day and didnot want to be laughed off WS so kepted quiet about it... :)

Hopkins says he was previously hired by Rockefeller to drive to New York City so he could attend a "board meeting." I wonder if that is where his stash is!! hmmmm

Clark Rockefeller’s faulty memory? Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Apparently, it took a dozen years for Sandra Boss to realize the father of her child was a man she didn’t know. You see, she was sleeping next to a stranger . . . yeah, that’s the ticket.

Even though she was content to have Clark stay home and raise their daughter Snooks for the first five years, she told a judge she didn’t know who her husband was.

So, Sandra was willing to pay this beguiling charlatan more than $800,000 to walk away and renounce all ties to their daughter, except for three court-ordered visits per year.

Something tells me there is more to this part of the story than has yet to come out.

The Algonquin Club

does anyone know about the now infamous Algonguin Club ??? What credentials do you need for membership??? If Mr. "Clark Rockefeller" got into it and was on the Board of Directors, there must have been a quorum vote needed to accept his membership in the first place.

Wonder who asked him to resign...

Comments here indicate that the remains were cremated and there were no teeth found. Remember, this was the pre-DNA days. A portion of the skull was supposed to have been saved. If this is true, there is good reason that these remains were never identified and sadly may never be identified.

If not identified, then alias man will probably never be charged in the murder.... unless they find Linda. This guy won't break. He will never tell. He has spent his life conning people, and knows the worst thing he can do would be to talk. As long as he doesn't talk, they will never be able to pin it on him. Think of the way he has been handling things so far- he doesn't remember... until they prove it then he remembers it. Typical con actions.

What keeps running through my mind is how did he support himself? While living with Sandra, she supported him. But before that he had only worked a couple of years. Yet he somehow managed to not only support himself, but to join clubs and present himself as someone with money. LOL, one of the commenters in one of the articles hints that perhaps he was a spy. But they usually have a better cover than that, a cover that would allow them into military or diplomatic circles. But still, it does appear that he must have had some type of support.

His family reportedly sent him money until about '85 or 86. Didi might, maybe sent him some money on behalf of John and Linda. He worked a couple of years. He most likely used his money only where it could be seen. There was the one person who talked about going to his home, nice address but no furniture. But I don't think that his family or even Didi would be able to fully support this. He would have to buy or hire cars, restaraunt meals, clothing, rent, daily expenses. And he couldn't go cheap in things that would be visible.

Then there are the years that are unaccounted for. Where did he go and what did he do?

 This! Because she thought John had taken them she might not have cancelled them. I hope she finally did.

Ruth Sohus told a family friend at the time that John Sohus took several of her credit cards before he disappeared. Charges were made with those cards in New York, said Linda Wetherbee, a family friend...

Unfortunately they don't give a time period for the credit card use. Was it just after he disappeared? Or was it later when an immediary (alias man???) made contact with her allegedly on the behalf of John? And how long were they used- a couple of times or over a period of years? Did she ever report it?

Another thing interesting over this is the mention of New York. He had to go to New York after he kidnapped his dau. Now at one point he used the credit card in New York. Long time period in between and I don't think we have heard about him living there. I wonder how much time he had spent there? Could he have lived there during the blank spaces in his timeline? Could this be where he knew to get his ID's for his alias's? Is this where he stashed his alias ID's?

BTW your link has gone invalid. This one is working

BOSTON -- The attorney who represents accused kidnapper Clark Rockefeller dismissed criticism Wednesday that he is hurting his client by speaking publicly about him. The case is getting worldwide attention, and defense attorney Stephen Hrones has not been shy about giving interviews.

Thanks for the new link Mysteriew. From the article it's saying "Ruth Sohus told a family friend at the time that John Sohus took several of her credit cards before he disappeared. Charges were made with those cards in New York, said Linda Wetherbee, a family friend."

So the cards went missing before he disappeared. I bet GKG took them. He didn't go missing for another 3 months AFTER John & Linda disappeared, that was in May 1985. He probably figured it wouldn't be safe to use them locally, someone might check. In the late 1980s he was stopped with John's truck in Conn., so he probably used the cards in NY before he went to Conn?

It could be that he's got some documents or other stuff stashed there.

You know, he has a lot to answer for. That poor woman spent the rest of her life in financial difficulties, in pain and grief at the loss of her son & his wife, not knowing John was dead. His own mother and father suffered, they gave him money to support him and he turns his back on them, leaving his mother grieving. The Sohus's, possibly or even probably killed by him. Not to mention Sandra's daughter growing up to learn about this ...this.. words fail me.
