NBC will interview Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter next week

Gerhartstreiter’s lawyer, Stephen Hrones, has arranged for NBC and The Boston Globe to interview the erstwhile Rockefeller at the Nashua Street Jail, but the network and the newspaper agreed to limit their questioning to only the subjects of his daughter and ex-wife. Hrones said he agreed to the unorthodox jailhouse interview next week in order to counter negative publicity spread by prosecutors and the FBI.

You know if they really want alias man to talk, one way might be to threaten to drop the kidnapping charges against him. But of course, threaten to deport him back to Germany and blackball his name with the INS. I think he wants to stay in the US badly enough that he might actually tell all.

IMO I don't think that's an option that will happen. LE isn't about to drop the kidnapping charges against him. He went across state lines during a non-custodial kidnapping and a lot of resources were expended by numerous organizations tracking him down in an attempt to find the child.

It doesn't matter whether he's here legally or illegally, if he's convicted of any crimes they link him to he's going to spend some signficant time in prison. IF he's convicted of murder he likely will spend the rest of his life there.

I think the only way he'll willingly talk is if they appeal to that enormous ego of his. He thinks he's a celebrity now.

I know you are probably right Molly. But with this guy he seems like he would rather stay in an American prison than go back to Germany.

Hours before she and her husband vanished 23 years ago, Linda Sohus seemed anxious, excited and frustrated.......

The collector only wanted a painting he had ordered from Linda Sohus, whom he recalled affectionately as Cody.

"She basically said, `I'm sorry I didn't get back to you,"' the art connoisseur recalled. "`Things are just kind of crazy here. My husband's gotten a job offer in New York and it looks like I'm going to have to move right away and I'm just running around like crazy."'

Linda told the collector that her husband had taken a classified job working on a government satellite program

A few thoughts:

If Linda was telling people they were moving to New York for job then it seems she would have had to be "in" on John's murder OR they had a real job offer. I don't believe these people would have trusted a job offer from CR. If it were a real offer and they didn't show up for it it seems that Didi would have gotten calls at the house when they didn't show and/or there would have been more people trying to find them. I would think his work colleagues at JPL would be aware/concerned if he didn't show up for a gov job.

Didn't Didi live in the house with John & Linda? It seems like it would be difficult for CR to pull off the murder/disappearance of both of them by himself in a way that Didi was convinced that they had gone to the airport for a job interview. However if Linda was in on it then I think it could be done.

Also in earlier interviews with Linda's sister she said she thought perhaps Linda could have been involved with John's death. It struck me as a strange thing for a sibling to say.
