This Endangered Missing Advisory just came up in CHP Alerts when I was looking for something else. It is very current and isn't in the media yet, so there are no details.

A quick Google search shows that Paul McClafferty was arrested for murder in 2020. Will try to find out what happened with that.

In the LA Superior Court I found 5 case numbers that timewise were around that time and later for a Paul PATRICK McClafferty. No DOB is listed so I can't verify it is the missing individual . The details of the charges are not available as LA requires a fee for record searches. Superior Court of Los Angeles County

That brought up the question: IS Patrick the missing man's middle name?

I DID find a Paul Patrick Kevin McClafferty that had lived in Cape Coral, which the article in the opening post in this thread mentioned him living in previously. (White Pages Screen Shot attached). https://www.whitepages.com/name/Paul-Mcclafferty

And I found a mugshot from an arrest *burglary, grand theft, fraud) in Lee County Florida, it's definately the missing man and his name IS Paul Patrick Kevin McClafferty. https://www.news-press.com/picture-gallery/news/crime/2017/04/25/lee-county-arrests-424/100873216/

He's not listed as being a current inmate (well obviously, if they're looking for him), but he is also not listed as being incarcerated from the Federal Bureau of Prisons which keeps a database going back to 1982. Were the charges dropped?

He was an inmate at San Quentin Prison at one time. He had been paroled prior to the publication of this article dated December 6, 2022. It seems he is a talented musician who had a nightly gig at the H-Unit Yard at San Quentin. Interesting article.
