@SacPolice

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in locating an at-risk missing person. The MP is 33-year-old Lovett Moore. Lovett is at-risk due to being legally blind. Lovett is 5'8, 167 pounds with black hair. Lovett was last seen on July 3, 2025 around 12:30 a.m. in the 3200 block of Arena Blvd wearing a green shirt and black shorts with a white stripe.If you see Lovett or know his whereabouts, please contact the Sacramento Police Department immediately. Thank you.

(Note: Sacramento PD is giving the last seen date as July 3. The family says that he was last seen on June 28, and they say that PD "failed to act with urgency." The PD alert is dated July 3, so maybe that is the date they used for the poster.)

According to his family, surveillance footage shows Moore with three individuals who walked him out of a store and toward a vehicle on June 28. He has not been seen since.

On Saturday, the non-profit organization, Empact, and Moore’s family hosted a press conference to advocate for urgent search efforts.

*****
Schenk and Moore’s family said the three people he was last seen with have not been contacted or interviewed by police.

He has two active cases in Sacramento County court records for Failure to Appear on criminal charges but not knowing the exact charges from the county database system they could be minor misdemeaners. From the Criminal Records drop search. (note: there is another Lovett E. Moore in the system, without the Jr, with cases back to 1995, so those would not be his).

On Sunday, Lovett Moore’s family and friends, volunteers, strangers and clergy from as far away as the Bay Area began their search once again, gathering near the Arena Boulevard gas station where the legally blind and disabled Natomas man was last seen.

*****
Moore lives with his mother in an apartment across the street from the Arena Boulevard fuel station where he was last seen. He once worked at the station - the job, family said, gave him independence - and he passed hours on a bench outside the station.

"For a man who has a disability, he acts like he didn't. His disability wasn't stopping him," his uncle, Ronny Bay, said Sunday. "He's very special. He's always smiling. He trusts people. But there are predators here who prey on the weak. It's a crazy world."

*****
"Our officers are continuing to follow up on any leads," Officer Anthony Gamble, a Sacramento Police Department spokesman, said Wednesday. "If you think you saw him, let us do the work to find him."
