No mention of what "type" of hair it was that was found in her mouth. I suspect pubic because the accused has no head hair, although I guess it could be from his goatee, that is pretty long.

When I saw that part of the SW, I wondered if LE suspected that Marysa had been stalked. But, my bf came home with a new job: to install a security system with eight (yes, 8) outside cameras at the home of a friend of his. This guy is an RN in the neonatal ICU at a prominent teaching hospital, so he's pretty smart, but he's convinced his neighbors (or somebody) are stealing from him, and he won't be satisfied until he has cameras watching everything up to half a block away. It's paranoid, and I think it's silly, but it's his money (and his stuff!), and so. He has it (almost.)

Since we know that meth can cause paranoia, I figured the surveillance equipment noted in the SW was probably just tweakers doing that. Today, I found this:

I think LE had an idea who they were looking for and where they might find them, so they used their knowledge of the presence of surveillance equipment at that address to help convince a judge to issue a search warrant with sketchy evidence.

Typing this, I realized LE can probably check out a registered sex offender's residence for no reason at all, whenever they feel the need, so heck. I'll be puzzled with you.

I am thinking that maybe they already had either Bealer or Oulette as a suspect. Maybe when LE was still looking for Marysa while checking out RSOs they saw possible surveillance equipment. Once LE discovered that Bealer had been staying there and he was the man seen on video near Marysa, LE wanted the result of any possible video existing from the cameras previously noted at the 2nd street address since Bealer had been staying there?

As to the equipment being there because of tweaker paranoia. I had not thought of that and feel silly now. I can imagine that is exactly why they might have it.

Please everyone, don't jump on me to tell me the million and one reasons people might have surveillance equipment that are non meth related. I know that, but in THIS case, a house of very modest means in a very modest neighborhood whose residents have criminal pasts some of which include meth, is what I am referring to.

I sure want to follow the trial of this creep but I'm afraid with so many new cases coming up every single day that I will forget
I hope that doesn't happen.
Is there a way to tag/ flag the cases you follow to get notices when they open up a new thread like for trial ? Or is the 'my subscribed' threads the best way ? tks

I am not sure SCHMAE, I usually just sort of check weekly or monthly (depending on the expected timeline for trial) for any updates on the cases I follow. I know others that have certain cases flagged to appear in their newsfeeds via other means outside WS. Not sure if there is any way for WS itself to flag you about upcoming trials. I will have to do some poking around to find out.

Sad to read the RIP Marysa page and see her paternal family upset about the family in Red Bluff receiving donations and that the last name Whitmire (sp?) was used for Marysa.

Very sad for all her loved ones and sorry to see that this has caused such a rift. There is room for all to mourn. It looks as if the family dynamic was screwy for a long time, sad to see that even in death, all these folks could not lay down the hurts of the past and just mourn their dead.

I am confused as to why the family she did not reside with would think they need a piece of the donation pie. I get that she did not reside with her mom and stepdad her entire life, but she had been resideing with them for some years prior to her death. I can only assume that her mom and stepdad are responsible for making the arrangements and paying the bills for funeral, etc. It would have been nice if her mom had taken her paternal family into consideration as far as arrangements and obituary, etc. as it appears the paternal side was left out in that way. But as to the donation thing, very confusing. But I am not confused enough to go wading through the family dysfunction to figure it out the back story. The whole thing just makes me too sad.

I think this is more about the family dynamic and the rift that exists between paternal and maternal family. Paternal family wants to see the evidence and assure themselves that Marysa's killer is behind bars. I think Marysa's paternal family just needs to feel like they have a voice in this case because of slights from the maternal family.

At the same time Marysa&#8217;s biological father and an aunt said they&#8217;re frustrated and uncertain as to whether authorities even have the right suspect.

I feel their pain, but LE and the DA don't show their evidence to anyone til they have to, even the victim family. they may describe some of what they have, but I don't think the keep the families of victims informed of each lead and piece of evidence they develop once the suspect is behind bars. It just doesn't work that way.

I must admit, I am anxious to see what evidence they have as well. I don't doubt per se, but the that other gentleman (RSO whose garage he stayed in) is still giving me red flags.
