Their lawyers aren't doing them any favors either, they just keep fanning the flames.

You'd think they would all just shut up and take a month long vacation until things cool down.

But no.........they just keep poking at the bear trap...............

I'm trying to figure out what the end game is here.

I'm just gonna say this:

Isn't it refreshing to have a case where no one is hurt, people are acting stupid and we can be genuinely entertained by the shenanigans? Instead of worrying about a dead body/ human trafficking/ the unthinkable- all we have is to marvel at someone's Lifetime Movie of the Week plot to.....to......whatever this is all about.

If Law & Order does the story, the writers will add a murder to it.

Rappaport says the alleged kidnappers claim to be car thieves who wanted to go bigger with their crimes. "She wasn't the intended target," Rappaport said. Rappaport won't say who the real target of the crime was, but say the kidnappers want to make one thing clear. "While they're not willing to give themselves up, they feel that they've created a secondary harm, or I guess a tertiary harm in the sense that they hurt her originally during the kidnapping and now they are hurting her because she's a suspect," Rappaport said.

Rappaport speculates that the reason the email was sent was because the kidnappers feel remorse.

Rappaport denies his client wrote the email.

Kidnappers with a conscious. ..car thieves who were just trying something bigger yet demand $8500 in a payment plan? Have I got this right?

Unfortunately, Dr Phil will probably give her the $8500, plus a whole lot more, just to make an appearance on his show.

Welcome to the "new America" , where people are actually rewarded for doing really stupid things.

I'm sure he will. That self important windbag will do anything for PR. If you're willing to pay Casey Anthony's parents, there is nothing beneath you.

I think she didn't want to go to work that day and thought she came up with a plausible excuse for missing work. She (they) probably never thought it would blow up on them and the FBI get involved.

Yep. You know how kidnappers are always wanting to defend the reputation of the people they kidnap. Happens all the time.

I want to know what these people are smoking if they think anyone on the planet is buying this.

This makes me wonder if the couple was up for drug testing at work. Was it mentioned that the boyfriend was drugged by the "kidnappers"?

Actually I think he was..as he was also tied up.....doubled checked and it was the attorney who said the bf was forced to drink a drug laced liquid.

I thought the Meyers case was the whackiest one but this one.. Is like As The Stomach Turns.. A soap about insanity.
