CA - Maurice Taylor Jr, 12 & Maliaka Taylor, 13, decapitated, Lancaster, Dec 2020 *parents arrested*

It's kind of disgusting to see that he puts 'Husband/Dad' on all his business web pages---considering recent tragic events...
Maybe he was truly proud of being a husband and a father. Maybe he wanted to make sure that prospective clients knew he was a family man.
And then things happened... Something horribly bad.

I know talk sooner or later will end up involving sentencing so I thought I'd bring this up now. He will not face the death penalty or life without parole after today's announcement by the new LA County DA and his directives. LA County Prosecutors can no longer seek either for sentencing

I assume it's because these deaths are not seen as pre-meditated -- so it wouldn't be 1st Degree Murder?

No, he's taking LWOP and the Death penalty completely off the table for every murder case so at some point he will be eligible for parole

No problem. I know eventually it will come up so thought I'd put it out there so everyone knows what punishment he will end up getting

Maybe part of the breathing problem was the odour, which must have been overpowering if even the neighbours (suspecting a gas leak) could smell it from outside, imo, speculation.

I believe it was a client that called a potential gas leak as he and others started to get concerned. There has not been any info on anyone actually smelling gas.

IMO there is NO WAY this level of violence from an adult in a family home can be attributed to anyone but the perpetrator.

Beheading your own children? Really? Cutting their heads off. This is really deep mental illness territory. You dont just slash in a beheading. You have to saw those heads off.

I have heard it's very difficult to decapitate. Thinking about this just about makes me hurl.
What the heck happened in there to drive him this psychotic?

It must have been simultaneous concerns from clients and a neighbour that there might be a gas leak, imo, speculation. rbbm.
Father Arrested After Allegedly Decapitating Daughter and Son Over COVID-19 Stress
''It is currently unclear when the children were killed or just how long their bodies were left before they were discovered. But one neighbor suggested that the pair’s dead bodies had been there for some time.

The neighbor said a putrid smell had been emanating from the house for several days and that he recently heard screams from inside the residence as well.

“It’s been going through my head,” he told local CW affiliate KTLA. “Is there something I could have done? Should I maybe have reported it earlier?”

Two young people found decapitated in Lancaster home; father arrested, officials say
''The Fire Department initially responded to the home following a report of a potential gas leak, but Sheriff’s Department officials confirmed there was no leak. The concern about a gas leak stemmed from Taylor’s former and current clients, with whom he had worked at a Santa Monica physical therapy and fitness center. They had been struggling to contact him all week.''

For the most part, very difficult, especially if someone is using a kitchen knife.

We would leave if it weren't for family.
I hear you. My new favorite hero is Sheriff Chad Bianco, he said it best. Not just for RCO, but the entire State.

Do we know the weapon used?
Not yet, I'm just assuming that's what was used as most people wouldn't have something else in their phones capable of doing it. Kitchen knives are to light and flimsy and it would be a grisly scene to say the least
