SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — San Francisco police continue to ask for the public’s help in locating an 18-year-old man who went missing earlier this month. Maxwell George Maltzman was last seen at his residence in the 900 block of Sutter Street in San Francisco at about 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 6.

Maltzman is described as a white man standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweater and blue jeans, police said earlier this month.

Anyone who locates Maltzman should call 911 and report his current location and physical description. Anyone with information on his possible whereabouts should call the SFPD tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD.

There are various rumours online but nothing that I can substantiate. However, it does look as though there have been some family problems that may have contributed to MM's disappearance.

A missing 18-year-old reported missing in San Francisco was found dead in the city's Bayview District, according to police.

SAN FRANCISCO - A missing 18-year-old reported missing in San Francisco was found dead in the city's Bayview District, according to police.

Maxwell George Maltzman was last seen on Jan. 6 at his residence in the 900 block of Sutter Street.

On Jan. 23 Maltzman was found dead in the Bayview.

His cause of death has not been released.

Six days later, on Jan. 12, SFPD issued a news release asking for the public’s help in locating him. He was found deceased in Bayview on Jan. 23, according to SFPD. The SF Police Department and the SF Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are currently investigating the case.

I live/work near the neighborhood his body was found (and dont know where exactly or that it happened over a week ago). He was missing for over 3 weeks and in the interim there was so little coverage/public appeal to help find him.... no street ring camera videos, friends and family asking the public.... nothing. I hope his loved ones can find some peace. This is so sad, such a short life.

San Francisco police make homicide arrest nearly two years after man's death

Maxwell George Maltzman, 18, was found dead Jan 23, 2023, after being reported missing earlier in the month.

An arrest has been made in this case. I live here and didn't even know this had happened back in December. SF can't/won't name the accused because they were under 18 when if happened. But it seems his parents and sister were in attendance at the hearing.

I hope justice can be served but it's San Francisco so my hopes are not high.
