I just read Judith Millette’s/Larry’s mother’s most recent court document. Mostly the usual insane Maya bashing, but in addition to that she describes a time when Maya has such heavy vaginal bleeding that she had to be taken to the hospital. This happened way back when Maya and Larry were in high school and still living in Hawaii. In the court document filed by Judith Millette before this, she talks about how while her and Larry’s father were in Texas in December 2020, Maya had such heavy vaginal bleeding that Larry had to take her to the hospital. Neither one of these vaginal bleeding incidents has any relevance whatsoever to the court filings, and Larry’s mother wasn’t even physically present for one of them. Why in the world would they keep bringing it up then? I can’t think of any other explanation other than that they’re trying to lay the groundwork for an explanation regarding blood found in the house, but surely they know that testing can reveal the difference between vaginal blood and regular blood? I don’t feel his parents are the ones actually writing these statements. If they are though, it seems rather strange that his mother would repeatedly discuss her missing daughter in laws vaginal bleeding in official court documents.
i think shes trying to say she had an abortion, but i agree it has nothing to do with anything.

If poor Maya had a spontaneous MISCARRIAGE while living under the Millete's roof, did anyone give her any kind of emotional support?????

No doubt she's being blamed for having been pregnant in the first place! As if she did it herself. And then to have it described as it was, that's awful.

I hope that's all taken into sharp consideration at the permanent guardianship hearing.

And to think how respectful Maricris has been of Larry -- it's just shameful how Larry's camp speaks of May.

She called the episode during the young couple's HS years a "spontaneous abortion" whereas most would probably say Maya had a miscarriage. If these people didn't make such a big deal about Maya's parent's poor English speaking skills, I'd say it was a language barrier but I think it's intended as more victim bashing. JMO

Quick news blurb and clip about today's courtroom appearance. No news article available yet.

Today's hearing only lasted about 15 minutes. A masked LM took a seat and gave a couple nods to people in the courtroom. MOO, jail life is changing his appearance some. MOO, LM looks heavier and like his hair is thinning.

Sorry, I know you're in another country and some articles get blocked. It's not even an article though... I just saw this quick blurb on the tv news and wanted to catch more of what was said, but no news article posted yet. It was only a 15 minute hearing, so probably just scheduling talk. @Niner, thanks for finding the next court date.

LM will be sitting in jail all through the holidays and all the way through February. They've been searching for Maya almost a year now, and how I wish they'd find her.

edited to add: Now I'm not too sure IF there is a guardianship hearing on 1/14/22 or it is actually 1/19/22. I have both dates - and unfortunately, no court site to check this out.
Anyone?

News Article from this morning. Larry is still being held without bail:
Defense pushback against protective order at Millete hearing | cbs8.com

What was supposed to be a routine hearing to set dates for the preliminary hearing in the murder case against Larry Millete, ended up getting delayed Thursday for more than hour.

Inside chambers, prosecutors and the defense were debating the details of a protective order, forbidding public release of discovery evidence.
...
The office of the San Diego County District Attorney had filed the proposed protective order to make sure evidence turned over to the defense did not get released to the public or posted on the Internet before trial.

But defense attorney Bonita Martinez refused to sign off on the order, according to a motion filed this week by the DA. After the hour-long delay, Martinez returned to the courtroom and signed the order.

...

The order covers 246 pages of evidence, 16 hard drives with media, and 100 police body cam videos that the district attorney wants kept secret, records said.

...
Future court appearances for Millete were set at February 28 at 1:30 p.m. for a status conference, and April 12 at 8:30 a.m. for the preliminary hearing, both hearings in South County Department #9.

IMO, the Defense isn’t helping their client by being uncooperative, and causing irksome delays. Not a good strategy.

There's a lot of evidence/discovery here and I think she's doing her job. She thought the language in the State's protection order was too vague and got it changed.

Checking in...this case is so sick. Where is Maya? The most important thing now is that LM remains incarcerated until his court case, whenever that is and that the children receive counselling in order to properly and safely grieve the loss of both of their parents as well as support for their deep confusion when they learn her death was at the hands of their father. Such a sad, sad case. Hoping for Maya's family to have healthy visitation with the children and ultimately gain custody of them. Moo

A year ago today Maya was still alive and planning for a new year. Her children had their mother. Her family had their daughter, sister, aunt.
