so, if Melodee was, as reported by ABC, dead for months before she was ever reported missing then does that mean it was NOT Melodee in the rental car surveillance videos?

Seen on video at rental car place Oct. 7th
seen alive at CO UT border Oct. 9th
reported missing Oct. 14th

the math doesn't math?

Hopefully all that will be answered at today's presser. I hate this news though. I hope at the very least Melodee just went to sleep and didn't face any violence at the hands of her vile mother.

Ashlee Buzzard, the mother of 9-year-old Melodee Buzzard, has been taken into custody, and multiple sources confirm that the girl's body was found.

Multiple law enforcement sources tell ABC News that Melodee Buzzard's body was found in early December in Utah in an area where it was known the two had traveled. Law enforcement had been waiting on DNA to come back on the human remains, which have now come back confirming it was Melodee.

This is from MSM and seems to confirm rumors of Medodee's death albeit from anon sources inside investigation.

Yes, that is not a normal interaction even when you are not happy with your child. The mother looks like she is saying "you are dead to me".

Had she been diagnosed with a mental illness?
Not that having been would convince a jury.

I would think her attorney will try to get her into a psychiatric facility ASAP.
A while back I wrote that she is "emotionless" and she is, a cold blooded murderer who went about her deranged life without a care in the world.

No wonder we have doubt and suspicion when kids go missing more often than not the parent is the perpetrator, it's just a matter of finding a body really before we realise how hard LE we're working and what goes on behind the scenes when it seems parents are getting away with murder

That defense only seems to work when you did not know the difference between right and wrong. The mother obviously knew the difference and hid the truth... no chance she gets off on that accord.

If she had admitted it before she was talked to by police, she MIGHT have been able to say I didn't know what I was doing etc

found this article about skeletal remains found in the area on the 15th of this month in a shallow grave. Trying to determine if it is related to this case.

That's weird. The location in that map as Devil's Gate is in western Nevada, in Storey County, near Reno or Carson City.

Elko County is on the far eastern side of Nevada, about 350 miles east of the Devil's Gate on that map.

After further reading, it's clear this location in Storey County, Western Nevada is incorrect and there is a remote desert slot canyon near the Nevada-Utah border that is in White Pine County, NV. Elko would be the nearest town with a major Sheriffs Department.

How wrong this is. She had family who loved her. Her family already lost Melodee's dad... and now to lose this beautiful extension of him.

I can't help but to notice that Ashlee soared her own life.

She sounded sharp as a tack in the audio recording when that fellow went to her house and claimed to be held against his will.

Perhaps a defence attorney might look into temporary insanity, but that is a VERY high bar if it is to be used in murder trial. Swapping number plates and wearing wigs seems to suggest that she absolutely knew right from wrong, and wished to avoid detection during what appears to be a premeditated murder.

I completely agree with you, in regard to Tyler’s “ claim” more info should come out publicly about why that happened. When it does it’ll be more clear about how sharp she actually is.

AHA ! There is a Devil's Gate in eastern Nevada in White Pine County.

It is a desert slot canyon near Great Basin National Park

The text describes how to get there from Highway 50, about 2.5 miles off the road. It sounds so remote that I would think someone hiking must have either found it by accident or had knowledge that she had been left there.

The photos in the article are very evocative of how lonely and desolate this spot is.
