I have looked for any updates and can't find any. Hopefully this means he is talking about Locating her remains wit the DA. She deserves to be found.
After she is found I hope that someone introduces him to the unpleasantries of Prison.

Bumping

I was looking for any updates for his trial and was not able to locate any. It still stuns me that he was only out of jail a few days before he kidnapped Michaela. He was apprehended only 8 days out of prison and sent back for 17 months. The items they found in his car are disturbing.
from Wikipedia: He was paroled yet again on November 14, 1988, and immediately returned to Hayward. Just eight days later, he was apprehended by police officers after a routine check of his vehicle led to the discovery of wire cutters, an axe, a large penknife, and a flashlight.

I doubt any of these items were saved to do DNA testing on.
I am hoping that he makes a deal to spare him death row and gives up the location of her body.
