That’s encouraging, it could be a sign that the case is close to being solved. It might already be, but NamUs is affected by the government shutdown and no cases were added/removed in the past 3 weeks. Interestingly, yesterday the NamUs profiles for Kim Mallon and Margaret Kay Holst were also modified. Could someone with a NamUs account check if this Doe was added as an exclusion for either of them?

UP4368 is not listed as a rule out for Kim or Margaret.

Maybe Khymberly Marcella Scruggs (also may have gone by Kimberly, Khym, and Kim), Sacramento, Jan 12 1980, 19yo 5'6" 115lbs, sandy shoulder-length straight hair, it looks quite reddish to me in the first image. Doe is listed with "Long sleeve shirt with spot/dot print (unknown brand/size), and what Khymberly's wearing would seem to line up pretty well with that.

Finding it strange the Doe's in a long sleeve shirt with those flip-flops. Also finding it unlikely that Khymberly ended up all the way out in this area, killed at this location in LA County when she'd just been on the phone with someone in her Sacramento apartment the evening before, and she'd noted she had work the next day. And Freeway 110 goes nowhere near Sacramento, you'd take I-5 down from Sacramento if you were heading towards LA, from what I've read. AND Khymberly is noted to have had a wool coat with her, I can't picture flip-flops entering into that scenario at all, but clearly, this is not a common or "usual" scenario, so there may be factors we're unaware of, don't have any idea, but Khymberly's information in terms of measurement and her appearance seem like they could align. Don't think the circumstances do. The Doe's got, box of Tampons (one wouldn't need a whole box for a short journey), cigarettes, hairbrush & comb, that sounds like someone who may have been doing some longer-term hitchhiking, at least someone going somewhere overnight or for a weekend. With that being said, perhaps should consider Barbara Bruno, 18yo, 5'1" to 5'3" 120lbs-145lbs, missing Aug 1 1980 Rochester NY, she may have been traveling to NYC or California. If she was doing longer-term hitchhiking my guess is the "Kay" shoe might just have been something she acquired somewhere on her travels. But Barbara Bruno as a possibility for this Doe also is problematic in that she disappeared Aug 1 1980, and the body was (initially) found August 24. Mummification can be fairly quick in certain environments, but it would depend on a lot of factors.

Carlota Maria Sanchez was known to be hitchhiking, missing Taholah WA end of August 1979, possibly with a young female friend (some sources say cousin), Carlota's 5'5" 12yo 110lbs. Seen last at Quinault Indian Reservation. She and possibly her friend (or cousin?) may have traveled to Seattle or to Arizona. Carlota is biracial. Her hair looks reddish to me, and she may go by the name Maria Loop, so she uses other names. And that is a longer term hitchhiking situation, so this seems like it could be possible. Tahola is about 18 hours from L.A., but if they were going to AZ, then L.A. falls right on one (probably more than one) of the many routes a driver could take.
