I believe him too. Why else would he have been willing to go as far as he has to help the investigation? Incidentally, as I stated earlier, there will be much more to come, now that Natasha Gregson Wagner has been so vocal in supporting Daddy Wagner and even making very inappropriate comments regarding Dennis Davern (as on GMA today), well, let's just say, there a lot of people who are close to this case who haven't taken kindly to that. I hoped that she would see the light but she's more concerned with protecting her mother's killer. I think Wagner knows how serious this situation is, otherwise he wouldn't have hired a criminal defense attorney. He wants the public to think that he isn't bothered by the case being investigated but he is. It's infuriating to think that the daughters Natalie loved so much have no interest in fighting for her or finding out the truth. But the truth will prevail.
If anything else comes up, I will continue to post more in this thread.
I also believe D.D. However, I have some compassion for Natalie's daughters. My sister's ex-husband's mother died under very suspicious circumstances and eventually her husband (my sister's ex father-in-law) went to jail for conspiracy to commit murder, along with his mistress at the time (who eventually became his second wife). The police did not have enough to get them for murder, but there was enough for the lesser charge. (They tried to hire someone to murder her and when they were unable to, probably committed the murder on their own). It took a while for the police to gather the evidence, and in the meantime the children (3 of them) lived with their father. When their father eventually went to jail (only for a few years), they lived with their fraternal grandparents and were essentially alienated from their maternal grandparents. The truth of what had actually happened was concealed from them - my sister's husband did not really learn the full truth until he met my sister. My family knew the truth - the woman who was murdered was my mother's good (if not best) friend.
We don't know what kind of information Natalie's daughters were fed over the years, but I am sure it did not point the finger at Daddy Wagner. In essence, and in my opinion, these children have been "brainwashed" to believe that it was an unfortunate accident and that their father was not directly (or even indirectly) culpable other than the fact that he and Natalie were drinking and had an argument.
