CA - Natalie Wood, 43, drowned off California coast, 29 Nov 1981

I believe him too. Why else would he have been willing to go as far as he has to help the investigation? Incidentally, as I stated earlier, there will be much more to come, now that Natasha Gregson Wagner has been so vocal in supporting Daddy Wagner and even making very inappropriate comments regarding Dennis Davern (as on GMA today), well, let's just say, there a lot of people who are close to this case who haven't taken kindly to that. I hoped that she would see the light but she's more concerned with protecting her mother's killer. I think Wagner knows how serious this situation is, otherwise he wouldn't have hired a criminal defense attorney. He wants the public to think that he isn't bothered by the case being investigated but he is. It's infuriating to think that the daughters Natalie loved so much have no interest in fighting for her or finding out the truth. But the truth will prevail.

If anything else comes up, I will continue to post more in this thread.

I also believe D.D. However, I have some compassion for Natalie's daughters. My sister's ex-husband's mother died under very suspicious circumstances and eventually her husband (my sister's ex father-in-law) went to jail for conspiracy to commit murder, along with his mistress at the time (who eventually became his second wife). The police did not have enough to get them for murder, but there was enough for the lesser charge. (They tried to hire someone to murder her and when they were unable to, probably committed the murder on their own). It took a while for the police to gather the evidence, and in the meantime the children (3 of them) lived with their father. When their father eventually went to jail (only for a few years), they lived with their fraternal grandparents and were essentially alienated from their maternal grandparents. The truth of what had actually happened was concealed from them - my sister's husband did not really learn the full truth until he met my sister. My family knew the truth - the woman who was murdered was my mother's good (if not best) friend.

We don't know what kind of information Natalie's daughters were fed over the years, but I am sure it did not point the finger at Daddy Wagner. In essence, and in my opinion, these children have been "brainwashed" to believe that it was an unfortunate accident and that their father was not directly (or even indirectly) culpable other than the fact that he and Natalie were drinking and had an argument.

I understand what you're saying, but Natasha and Courtney are not children anymore. The case has been open for five years now; if they really wanted to know the truth, they would have spoken with investigators, but they have no interest in doing that. Let me just point out that neither of these girls work for a living, they live off of Natalie's savings and Daddy Wagner. Natasha is not about to rock the boat for the truth, notice how she says she KNOWS Wagner didn't do anything to her mother that night, she laughed at the mention of the interviewer of the case being re-opened, she refers to her aunt Lana as a conspiracy theorist and refers to Dennis Davern as undignified - two people who have done nothing but praise her and fight for justice in her mother's name. She is not doing any of this to honor her mother, but to protect Daddy Wagner. She may have been brainwashed as a child, but as an adult, she can make her own decisions, and she's choosing to defend her stepfather, when the truth can be easily accessed. I have made excuses for Natasha and Courtney in the past, but no more. They are responsible for their choices and actions.

Your own personal experience may have been different, as the truth being concealed is one thing, but when you have opportunities to find out more, and don't take them, that makes for a different situation. Of course, not every case is as played out in the media as the Natalie Wood case is. Natasha and Courtney could have spoken with the LASD, talked to their aunt or Dennis Davern but chose not to.

If anyone hasn't looked at the autopsy you should. If I'm reading it right, she had Cocaine, Codeine and I believe morphine in her system. They give a drawing of her many bruises. I'd like to know if drowning victims normally have similar bruising. Had she and Wagner fought and she wanted to go back to land, I surely wouldn't do it dressed the way she was; especially being an actress.

Those were the drugs that they were testing for, and were ultimately not detected in her system.

Crime Watch has a new show on this. Natalie's sister speaks out. She thinks "R.J." knows what happened and he "made a bad decision based upon the passion of the moment." It is a must watch.

I read the autopsy report too. I guess I have no knowledge of drug testing but I came away that the test were positive for those drugs.

the ND on the report stands for not detected

There is nothing coincidental about all these interviews popping up, the marketing of a perfume in Natalie's name, the selling of Natalie's belongings (including her Golden Globe Award!). You see, Daddy Wagner needs money for his lawyer fees. Notice that in all these articles they don't mention that there is an ongoing homicide investigation. They blame Natalie's sister Lana, Marti Rulli, Dennis Davern, and anyone else for bringing the case back to attention (when in fact, the case was re-opened because there is evidence to warrant it) and for trying to profit from her death, but somehow those same rules don't apply to Wagner and Natalie's daughters. It's okay if they profit off of her memory as long as it serves their agenda. As for Wagner breaking his "silence" and being "shattered" by Natalie's death, this is the same crap he's been spewing for years. Lies and more lies. He was out with Jill St. John a mere ten weeks after Natalie's death. Natalie's daughter Natasha has stated in the past that Jill was never a mother figure to her and Courtney; Jill was only there for Wagner. So much for the grieving widower routine. He is utterly selfish. None of them have cooperated with investigators, despite the original statement upon the re-opening of the case in 2011 that they welcomed a new investigation. Natasha and Courtney could find out the truth if they really wanted to, but they are choosing to live in denial.
The walls are closing in on Robert Wagner, and he knows it. Using Natalie's daughters is just another attempt to preserve his image

I sure hope you're right. He's been free too long.

EXCLUSIVE: 'I won't rest until she gets justice': Natalie Wood's sister reveals she's received death threats to lay off Robert Wagner, the husband who was with the Hollywood star on their yacht when she mysteriously drowned

Lana Wood says cold case homicide detectives in Los Angeles have made progress in the unexplained 1981 death of her sister, Natalie Wood

Lana, 70, told Daily Mail Online that detectives confided in her that they are 'very close' to making an arrest in the case

She said she has received telephone death threats to 'lay off' Natalie's then-husband Robert Wagner - who she believes knows what happened

Lana has slammed film star Wagner for not cooperating with the police, claiming he holds the key to Natalie's 1981 death

Natalie drowned aged 43 after going missing during a boat trip to Santa Catalina Island off the coast of California

She was with her husband Wagner, actor Christopher Walken and the boat's captain, Dennis Davern on the evening of November 28, 1981

Natalie's death was originally ruled 'an accidental drowning' by a coroner, but later changed to 'drowning and other undetermined factors'

Lana recalls how she tried to get answers from Wagner shortly after her sister's funeral, but he would only say, 'I'm sorry'

Lana will never give up, nor will the other people who have fought for Natalie to receive justice. I admire Lana so much, she has dealt with so much hardship and pain, in large part due to Robert Wagner.

I hope justice will finally be served.

Some people wouldn't keep talking publicly with death threats. I don't blame her for not giving up, I wouldn't either. I think most of us would love to see Wagner charged before it's too late. He grows older every day. Surprised he hasn't gotten some type of karma/ cancer yet.

From your article, I wonder if Christopher Walken finally broke.

Speaking to Daily Mail Online, Lana said: 'The police told me that they have found new witnesses who were not willing to speak back then.

'These witnesses have been helping police but they won't go on record or testify, they don't want to be heavily involved in the investigation
which is a shame.'

Lana, 70, claims detectives also confided in her that they are 'very close' to making an arrest in the case - but the Los Angeles District Attorney's office has insisted more evidence is needed to press charges.

Some of these witnesses were on other boats nearby. They heard the argument between Natalie and Wagner on the deck of the Splendour, again, which corroborates Davern's account and proves that Wagner lied to the police.

The new coffee-table book that has been released (and can be purchased at Amazon), is a "family" effort. As I said before, for years, they rarely talked about Natalie and now suddenly they are giving interviews, selling her belongings and have put a book together. They could have done this years ago, and this is not to honor Natalie's memory. It is a calculated publicity move to gain public sympathy and put out good vibes since they know how bad it looks with the ongoing LASD homicide investigation with which they refused to cooperate. Wagner wrote the forward for this book and he is demeaning to Natalie throughout, blaming her for her own death, the marriage problems, claims she was "difficult", and even compares her to other actresses, and minimizes her career. This coming from someone who has had one of the most mediocre "careers" ever and who has never had the acting chops or talent of Natalie and the other classic stars he claims to have befriended. They also defend their decision to auction off Natalie's belongings but state that Natalie's fans were not happy about this. They don't understand why. Gah, are they really that clueless?

Here is a link to the book at Amazon.com:

https://www.amazon.com/Natalie-Wood...8&qid=1475510195&sr=1-1&keywords=natalie+wood

Even now, they are making money off of her, and continually accuse others of doing the same, including people who are fighting for justice for Natalie.

If you are a fan of Natalie, you will probably want to purchase the book, as it contains rare and personal photos, but please don't forget the agenda behind it.

Thanks so much for what you do to advocate for Natalie. The book is pretty pricey right now, hopefully it comes down in price at some point. I'm surprised they do not show anything but the cover. Would be nice to preview a few pages like Amazon usually does. Was hoping to read what Wagner said.

Anyone that reads the book should really go do a review. Currently there is one review that only says "excellent".

Here is one of my Natalie tribute videos, the song is performed by Anthony Perkins:

I made this video for Natalie and her fans, and her fans, ultimately, along with her sister and a few others who have fought for truth and justice, have done more for Natalie's legacy and memory than her own children and that murderer who still makes a living from being her husband. I always keep this in mind, and remember Natalie, how much she gave to the industry and the world, and how seeing her films helped me survive my own horrible childhood. I will never forget that gift she gave me, even though she died when I was just two years old. She is important to me. While it's too late to save her, it's never too late for the truth or justice!

Since I can only include one video per post, here's another that I put together a few years back:

Karen Carpenter's voice seemed like such a perfect match!

I agree. Casual fans may not notice, but those of us who know more about what is really going will take offence to what he has written. He tries to come off as some grieving widower but as I said before, he is anything but. Without Natalie, he's nothing. He made sure that she wouldn't be alive to tell her side of the story. Sadly, her daughters have bought his lies. He did not have the best interests of those girls in mind, he's only out for himself. He lives off Natalie's money, talks about her when it is convenient for him and only if it's on his terms. If you look at Gavin Lambert's biography of Natalie (which he was heavily involved in) and his autobiography, he makes some not so subtle unflattering remarks about her and comes across as paternalistic rather than a loving husband. He couldn't stand the thought of her working full-time or worse, divorcing him. That's why he had to make sure that she would not be found when he put her in the water. They have not gone mainstream with this book because they know they will have to answer questions, and they are not willing to do that. They have promoted the book via Instagram and have even given away free gifts in order to ensure sales. The book is dedicated to Natalie's grandaughter, Clover Watson (Natasha and Barry Watson's daughter) and it's nice that she is mentioned, too bad she will never know her grandmother and it makes me sick that Natalie's murderer is spending time with her grandchild!

But as I said, buy the book for Natalie, and while Wagner will make some profit off it, there is some comfort in knowing that his free ride cannot last forever. It will be an even larger explosion that will eventually blow up in his face. Long overdue!

You can read Wagner's forward in this preview at Google books:

https://books.google.ca/books?id=8mwADAAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false

Now, on the surface, it may seem like a very loving tribute. But if you read between the lines, he is hinting at several things - he implies that she slept around, and did it to get parts (particularly when he was referring to Rebel Without A Cause), and he compares her to Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn, saying that she might have been as "legendary" as them if she won an Oscar. There are many actors, past and present, who have never won Oscars but are considered legends. Like I said, his career, while long, isn't much to brag about in terms of quality. He talks about how ambitious she was, so much so that you realize that he actually views it as a detriment. He complained in Gavin Lambert's book about how her "career demon" took over in their second marriage. He only briefly touches on some of her other films, and acts as though her parents were monsters. They were not perfect, they made mistakes, they had their problems, but he is the monster here, not them. When he refers to Clover as "our granddaughter" it made my blood boil. He is the reason why Natalie is no longer here. He chose to take her life, and then he bemoans that "we lost her" and "she left us". There is nothing outright negative, it's subtle, because he wants to be seen in a good light. Wagner also recently published a new book, "I Loved Her In The Movies" in which he talks about the actresses he knew and worked with. Most of them are deceased, so they can't back up his claims. He wants to be know as Mr. Virile, and you'll notice that in the forward for this coffee table book, he talks about career problems ruining their first marriage and that her career was more successful than his. He was blaming her for the marriage breaking up, but she actually found him in bed with another man! Yep, there is much more to this story than Wagner wants anyone to know. But nothing stays buried forever.

Thanks for posting it. I'm not familiar with her movies; I remember when she died, how what I read didn't sound right. I've always wondered if anything would be done.
Every day that goes by is another that goes without justice. I know of too many cases where a POI went to the grave without justice being done.

You can see he's cutting her down - she had a real concept of what she was doing, then about having a director and using her own ability. She wanted Rebel and did everything to get it. He says he spent years trying to move on but the reality was he started dating really fast. I don't think her body was cold yet. Those are just a few that I see; I could really pick it apart if I had more time.

A blind man can see that wasn't a tribute from a loving husband. He reminds me of Ryan O'Neill after Farrah passed.

Robert Wagner is 86 years old. Just don't think anything will take him down.
