Nellie appears to have been married to Frank Irving Tibbitts from a 1950 census record on Ancestry when she was 16 and he was 23 and they were married and living in Watsonville near Santa Cruz. Frank Tibbits went on to marry again in 1966. He died December 8 1995, murdered by his step grandson as reported at Muldrow Youth, 15, Charged in 3 Deaths and Triple-Slaying Suspect Gave Details of Killings, Agent Reports. Whether this is just coincidence or whether it has any bearing on his first wife's disappearance I do not know.
