I think it’s kind of unfair to compare parent reactions in this way. When my daughter went missing, everything in the house reminded me of her. If she hadn’t been found, I don’t know that I could have handled staying here. IMO.
I'm sorry...
I didn't mean to offend you...

No worries! You never know how you will feel in a particular situation until it happens to you.

Agreed.

"Stan and Julie Patz never changed their phone number or moved, in the hopes that their son, Etan would reach out or return home.

“They waited and waited and never left because God forbid there was something to wait for,” said Meisel, who spoke to the family this past week.
never changed their phone number or moved, in the hopes that their son would reach out or return home."

I think I would handle things this same way. I would have to stay and never move because that would be the address the missing child would know.moo

Judy Gifford's aunt never moved or changed her address either if i recall.

New questions I have:

1. Were chalk drawings found?
2. If so, have handwriting experts evaluated them for Orrin and Olsen vs. parents?

I realize the kids may not have been able to write words, but some analysis should be possible nevertheless.

And lastly, if the answer is no to the above, has any chalk residue been found at all in the soil from previous chalk drawing activities weeks or months prior.

Chief Walker says there is proof children have been living in the house. Eyewitness News asked him if those children include Orrin and Orson West and "he said not necessarily."

Hi, new-ish member and welcome to Websleuths !

In this particular case I think it's more like an accumulation of actions by the adoptive parents, and not just the moving away.
LE have already said they don't think the boys left by the backyard gate--- yet we have the dad, TW, saying the gate was left open and the boys left while outside playing with the chalk and he was gathering wood.

I do believe LE have some evidence to support their statements.
To say that they feel foul play happened -- some pretty strong wording at this early in the investigation.
We don't know as much as LE do, but I'm trusting where they're leading.
In most cases you see parents who are frantic even if they're not tearful.
The calm demeanor of TW and JW is worrisome; imo.

So sorry about your daughter ! :(

For those unaware with the geography, California City is extremely isolated. There is essentially JUST 1 route that goes into and out of the city. (California City Boulevard) which connects this area to civilization.

There are businesses along the westerly side of the route and homes along the southerly portion. I assume some businesses may have 24/7 video recording which could face the road.

Therefore it is possible that PD may have documented footage of van (or other vehicle) movement into and out of the city for day(s) or week(s) leading up to incident and dissecting video to see if it matches with story adoptive parents presenting.

Significant.
If anyone saw TW and JW before they moved to this house-- were they healthy and well cared for ?
Not that that necessarily means everything is fine, as we've seen in other cases. :(

A search party for the two boys reported #missing in California City has been announced by GreenStone, the local cannabis dispensary that also announced a $10,000 reward for the boys Wednesday. The search begins at 1 p.m. on Sat, near the corner of Proctor/California City Blvd.

Digging around the socials only produces year old pictures, unfortunately. And, in MOO one of the boys does not look healthy, quite sad actually.

Wow, if there isn't any proof of them living there, this gets even worse

Ha, thanks for the welcome :) I’ve actually been around forever, I just didn’t make an account for YEARS.

I’m not saying there’s not a lot of suspicious things going on, I just think we need to be careful when painting broad generalizations on how people “should” act.

Can anyone post a screenshot or link to one of the broken out window. I can’t tell if there is glass outside on the ground or not.

Thank you, I did see that. Just wondering if there is a close up solo pic that may show the glass, if there is any outside.
