CA - Pacific Palisades - 30,000 People Ordered to Evacuate From L.A. Wildfires #2

Okay, I guess what I'm getting at is that other people have different opinions than yourself, and officials cannot tell those other people that they're "just stupid".
My point is that fires starting back up and getting out of control isn't unique to LA, nor the first time it's ever happened. It's the fault of the original arsonist, not the fire department's. (I wasn't calling you stupid Cedars).

Did this man start this fire that led to all this horror? Yes, clearly. I am just saying there may be good reasons why we don't see prosecutors bring those manslaughter charges so many want. Maybe I am totally wrong.
I don't think you are wrong at all. Anybody who lives in SO CAL and beyond knows what those good reasons are, although we are not permitted to discuss those good reasons on this forum. I guess we will see how this plays out.

This is a "tell" I never heard connected to anxiety or lying, or possible involvement, but I find it extremely interesting. Sounds like his body is a tattle teller. I see it as just a tell, so it's not something that can be used to prove anything in a courtroom, but it's apparently a tool investigators use to notice reactions to questions.

While being interviewed on Jan. 24 by investigators, they noticed that Rinderknecht’s carotid artery would “pulsate and become visible whenever they asked Rinderknecht a question about how the fire started or who started it,” an arrest affidavit says.

Good! So many people lost their homes, were killed, or injured- all because he was upset that a friend stood him up.

I'm not saying this person isn't at fault but there are other possibilities.

"All of those events when we see sharp voltage drops, it's something that's going wrong on the grid," Marshall said. "Most of them likely have an arc or a spark associated with them and they could start a fire."

Meanwhile, all morning and afternoon, firefighters were being dispatched to respond to electrical problems on power lines. On Jan. 7, firefighters were sent to locations in Altadena at least 35 times because of calls that had to do with wires down or arcing, records obtained by NPR from the Los Angeles County Fire Department show. Most of those dispatches — 30 of them — were made before 6 p.m., around when sparks were seen on transmission lines miles away in Eaton Canyon."

That may have been the cause of the Altadena fire, but the Palisades fire was across town.
