New NAMUS addition - I bet she'll be identified fairly quickly.

There is a non-graphic PM of the decedent on NAMUS. She looks to have distinctive gapped front teeth. As for the "drawing" on her thigh, could it be some form of self-harm? Aside from the lividity in the photo, there appears to be redness concentrated around the inside of the "drawing". The decedent also has self-harm scars.

Just looks like an eye with a teardrop right way up if viewed by her as she drew it, in concentric lines of black, orange and red marker. You can see what scratches would look like - there are a couple of minor abrasions below it - and they don't look like that. They're too regular and even for selfharm. They look like red marker.

As for how I know - I have the scars to show for it.

An entry for an "ISABELLA OLIVERA-MONTENEGRO" who died on the correct date (Oct 24, 2023) has been added since this afternoon. Place of death is alley, ethnicity is Hispanic, and age is 16, which matches up with the unidentified person. Manner of death is suicide as a result of "COMBINED EFFECTS OF BLUNT FORCE HEAD TRAUMA, NECK COMPRESSION AND SHARP FORCE INJURIES". https://me.lacounty.gov/case-detail/?caseNumber=2023-14532

Googling this name leads to a missing 16-year-old girl from the same city this Doe was found in who was last seen on Oct 17th, 2023. I see a strong facial resemblance between the two. Not sure how this connection was not made at the time because it seems she was reported missing fairly close to when she was last seen. Have you seen this child? Isabella Olivera-Montenegro
