I have not seen one single comment about Fernando Castro by someone who knows him. Has anyone else?

Investigators are not releasing much information on the suspect at this time, but they did say he’s been in trouble with the law before.

“we believe that he was on probation in Contra Costa (county) for a robbery," William Hornbrook, with Solano County Sheriff's Office, said.

We spoke to one of Castro’s friends from high school who had this to say about his friend.

“He was never out to hurt anyone and I think drugs changed him and that’s what provoked him to hurt someone.”

I am wondering if human trafficking could be relevant here
:notgood:
I read the following article (not related to this case, at least not directly/specifically), earlier today, & catching up on Pearl's thread, I keep getting a sick, sinking feeling that keeps making me think of the content of the article.

it would be great if Pearl is not seriously injured/a victim of human trafficking (or anything else nefarious), & comes back to her family okay soon, but I don't feel too optimistic about this.

I agree. He is obviously a big part of the problem, not even a tiny bit of the solution--not to the victims at least.
Sick.

Why do they believe Pearl is in Vallejo county still? Why isn't it possible that he took her further down the coast?

I don't think so at all. I think this guy was just wacked and snapped.

No, that's odd too

The only one I have seen is:

"We spoke to one of Castro’s friends from high school who had this to say about his friend.

New article, but no new info that I can see. *sigh* Where are you Pearl?

Law enforcement officials on Saturday will resume their search for a missing 15-year-old Bay Area girl along the rugged Sonoma County coast and in other parts of the state as frantic family members await word of her fate.

(...)

Sheriff’s deputies from Solano and Sonoma counties, along with the FBI, are focusing their search around the Russian River near Jenner (...)

“We do believe she may be here, or there may be evidence to lead us to believe she was here at one point,” Solano County sheriff’s representative Christine Castillo told KCRA-TV. “This case spans from Northern to Southern California.”

It is possible. They are checking out many areas.

"Sheriff’s deputies from Solano and Sonoma counties, along with the FBI, are focusing their search around the Russian River near Jenner. But officials noted that they were also looking in other parts of the state, including Marin and Santa Barbara counties."

Frantic search for missing teen Pearl Pinson stretches from Sonoma to Santa Barbara

Solano and Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies, along with the FBI, are focusing their search around the Russian River near Jenner. But officials noted that they were also looking in other parts of the state, including Marin and Santa Barbara counties.
On Saturday morning, officials began walking a remote area along the Russian River looking for signs of the teen, aided by helicopters, according to the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat.
