Well, you know sometimes I think some things are just meant to be.

Also, the most important thing regarding where the body was dumped is that the person who dumped the body there will know how far it was and how they got there.
That's one interesting aspect about having differing reports in the media; the perp might slip up and say "no, that's not true".........

I think the woman who stopped to let her dog out "to do its thing", or as the policeman said, "to walk her dog" is probably more experienced at finding places for her dog to do that than the person who dumped the body is at finding places to dump a body. In other words, an inexperienced body dumper, inexperienced killer. Someone that can and will be found. Someone who was in a hurry. IMO.

I sure hope you are right and in his/her inexperience, left a lot of evidence behind as well.

Inexperienced body dumper and ALSO inexperienced enough about the area that he didn't know people walked their dogs. I bet he thought the body would never be found or that it would take months. moo

Inexperience and haste lead me to believe maybe this wasn't a sex-driven crime, but rather a personal one.

I was thinking, too...from the satellite map images and Google's "street view" of Wooden Valley Road and 121, does it seem to anyone else those roads might have been a poor choice for dumping? I didn't see any easily accessible areas where someone might have driven a vehicle and had the "privacy" to dispose of a body. The areas I saw had very little to no shoulder on the roadside. Surely someone driving down those roads around the same time the perp was there saw something! Surely there is a great likelihood there are witnesses, ya think???

May not be anything to this, but I found this poster's comments alarming as well. On Fairfield's Daily Republic article regarding the discovery...scroll down to comments by "william."

http://www.dailyrepublic.com/story.php?id=701.0

Sorry this William is far off..Yes Wooden Valley does come off of Monticello Road, but she wasn't there..My girlfriend lives on highway 128, she told me yesterday they had the area on 121 Monticello Rd taped off..which isn't far from her house....so keep dreaming William, unless u are the one an lives there..maybe that is the 7 mi.s u were referring to..

Its almost time for the 6 O'Clock News programs.

Here is what KGO will report:

Missing Suisun City woman's family awaits ID of body

Police are still trying to identify a woman's body that was discovered Friday along Highway 121 in rural Napa County.

"Waiting is not easy for Le's' family. "I don't want to think too negatively, but most likely, it's my sister," Le's brother Huong told ABC7."

"Phuong's family has even more reason to believe it is her.

"Police told him they found the body and she was wearing a jade bracelet and a watch, which matches my sister's, " Huong said. "She wears it all the time. She never took that off."
"

On the news at 5 it was reported by her brother that the body was found with a watch and a jade bracelet on, just like in her picture with the blue scrubs. Also said the autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

My heart just breaks for her family right now. Knowing in their hearts it's her but having to wait for the autopsy.

I cannot fathom how the family must be able to cope with this. I pray for justice for all of them.

Anyone local, please help me out here! Looking at maps it seems this location is a way from where she was last seen. And of course, assuming the remains found are Phuong. Is this someplace she and Nguyen would've gone together? Or does it seem now it could've been someone else who abducted her? If Nguyen is relying on video surveillance that he never left home that day, it would just surprise me he'd go so far away to dispose of her. :waitasec: MOO

It's not that far maybe a 15 or 20 minute drive.

I can't imagine how a family comes to term with such a senseless tragedy - the loss is so great. A young daughter, sister who finished school and was licensed to practice nursing, a woman who now had time for living her life. To make it even more tragic, she was found on Mother's Day weekend - their lives will never be the same.

I bet Phuong chipped someone's ego - a rejection, a hesitation, a lack of interest. My gosh, when will women ever be safe. moo

Well, obviously it is her. I am wondering why it is so hard to identify her. Why would they postpone the autopsy until Monday when they have a family waiting? I would think they could have identified in her some way by now, dental, tissue typing, we've seen DNA this quickly in some cases and they have had the parents DNA for a while. I can't imagine what must have happened to this poor young woman to make her so unidentifiable in less than two weeks time...
I guess in a larger city, such as San Francisco, they might have done the autopsy on a weekend, many big cities do, but in this case, it seems as though they could have arranged it for today or tomorrow even if they don't normally do so on weekends.
In any case, Phoung's family surely has begun their grieving...the bracelet would be telling enough for most family members. What a horrible crime...praying for an arrest and even a confession to spare this poor family future pain.

I agree, the delay in identification is bewildering. Someone mentioned dental records might take time to obtain. It's possible they're trying to sweat out a POI. Maybe because it's the weekend?

Oh my God I can't believe the family has to wait until Monday. How awful :(

  • #337
I really think they're waiting on COD and MOD in case it's homicide. Usually you hear identity confirmation and COD/MOD at the same time. Although I'm not entirely sure why.

I don't believe the need the autopsy for the family to know, and that's all that matters right now. Enough information has already come out, especially from what Huong said, that we know she's gone. What we also have learned from Huong's statement is this most likely isn't a serial killer who collects items from his victims or her jewelry would have been taken. MOO

"I have a feeling it is her," said Le's brother Houng Le.

At Phuong Le's Suisun City home, her brother told KCRA 3 he has a feeling it's in fact his sister's body that was found in Napa County.

"They said they were not sure how long this process is going to take, waiting for forensics and coroner," said Houng Le.

The family said investigators told them the woman matching their sister's description also had a jade bracelet and a watch similar to the one Phuong Le was last seen wearing.

"(We're) just wait for official confirmation," said Houng Le.

I would also imagine budget cutbacks have something to do with the delay in the autopsy being performed until a weekday. It seems a preliminary ID has been made by her brother regarding the jewelry. MOO
