CA - Police say woman left infant in locked car

  • #21
What's the problem with this? I plan on leaving our son in the car unattended after he's born. He can't do much damage being strapped in his seat and I'll crack the window for fresh air.

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man I am so glad this baby is alright. I don't care how much of a good parent she is according to the comments at the link - forgetting your child in a car to me is bad parenting. Just because she is/was/might be otherwise a good parent does not erase this. If it wasn't for the bystanders getting involved this baby might have been dead. Heckuva lot of good her good parenting did him.

JanetElaine - Congratulations!

I too am glad this little one is alright and that CPS has become involved. And I applaud the bystanders! So many folks will just walk right by. Not me, I even call if they leave their animals in the car. When it is 74 degrees outside it is 94 degrees in the car (or something like that :)). Poor little one!

This is right down the street from where I live. I stop by there often and almost did last night after work. Thank goodness I didn't...I'd probably be in the slammer for beating her 🤬🤬🤬 when she finally decided to come out of the store.:furious:

Stupidity.

I have a handy little tool for getting out of a seatbelt and breaking a window in case of accidently going into the water. I am sure it would work just fine to break a stupid person's window to get to a child left alone (safely..of course). I would call 911 afterwards. I don't like to wait in situations when minutes can be critical.

Not only would they have no child when CPS came, but it would cost them a window, too! Stupid #$%#^!

The problem is some women want babies, but don't want the baggage that comes w/ them. It's sheer laziness to leave the baby put, rather than have to drag him/her w/ them. In their uneducated mind, the baby may be sleeing, so why wake him/her? They figure they'll only be gone for a minute, which is always longer and could be fatal for the baby left behind.

Some of these "want to be moms" need to go to ebay and do a search of reborn babies.

Some aren't cheap, especially those that look so life like. In the long run, these reborns would cost less than the real thing. They wear the same diaper and never need formula. Plus, you can play mommy and still leave it in the car w/o worry of the baby surcoming to heat stroke or death. Plus, if you forget them, you still have a clean conscience! I think this is a must for every ingorant mom out there who doesn't have a clue to what being a mother is all about.
