CA - Rebecca “Becky” Marodi, 49,Fire captain found stabbed to death inside of her home, San Diego County home, Feb 17, 2025 *Arrest*

Oh, so sad.
Rebecca Marodi looked so proud and happy in the picture shown in the first post of this thread.
I'm sure she worked hard to achieve her position as Fire Captain. Now she is gone.
Hoping justice will be served. SMH.

Excellent news!

"U.S. authorities requested help locating Yolanda, according to the SSCBC, which said that she was arrested near a hotel on Fresnillo Avenue in Mexicali. Officials said that, once they confirmed her identity, she was taken into custody and transferred to the border, "allowing U.S. authorities to proceed with legal action."

Interesting. She was pretty much kicked out of Mexico. No lengthy extradition process.

I am going to guess that authorities in Mexico were not too sympathetic to a two time killer.

Finally.

MEXICO (KABC) -- The suspect in the stabbing death of her wife, a Cal Fire captain, was arrested in Mexico after a month-long manhunt, authorities announced Saturday.

53-year-old Yolanda Marodi, also known as Yolanda Olenjniczak, was arrested in connection with the death of her wife Rebecca "Becky" Marodi, 49, near a hotel in the Ferrocarril neighborhood of Mexicali, according to the State Citizen Security Force in the Mexican state of Baja California.

Remember what this awful woman said to Becky, when Becky pleaded for her life, that she didn't want to die ?

"Yolanda responded 'You should have thought about that before.'

Well Yolanda, you're going to prison for life now. Shoulda thought of that before !

May Becky rest in peace now.

I hope she gets life! She only served two years for killing her ex husband. Or husband.

I feel badly for the victim here, but once you break up with someone, cut it off. It is a good lesson to learn. I literally had an ex served with papers, so he knew that it was done. No more coming back. Do not contact me ever again.

Domestic violence is scary. And I shudder to think that the victim had suffered partner abuse in silence.

Yolanda Marodi is expected to enter a not guilty plea for the first-degree murder charges -- the first step in a case that could potentially take years to resolve.

The arraignment comes a day after a celebration of life event was held for Rebecca Marodi in Temecula. The services were standing-room-only, with family, friends, and colleagues in attendance.
