What was he after in the burglary? Why kill an 8 year old? She wouldn't have been a problem or was it so She couldn't identify him? I think there is more tothis.Moo

Looking at this more could it have been he was after Ruby? Articles mentioned her school was right across the street.

Is he a pedophile that scoped out schools? He sees a little girl and where she lives? Expected her to have her own room. He comes across Jia who would fiercely protect her child. Also mom's friend. Never expected them to be together.

Burglary. He is that violent, but never went after the grandparents? JMO

I'd like to know more about this man. Rap sheet, drugs?

Exactly. Plus how close did he live to the victims? Did he originally come from the area?

News reports describe him as a resident of Rancho Cucamonga so proximity of the school Ruby attended plus his use of the path to access / exit the scene makes me wonder if he lived nearby and had observed their day to day patterns and behaviour. Maybe he knew they routinely didn’t lock those doors.

Why them?
Did he steal anything? He did not appear to be carrying anything.
Where is the father?
People usually leave their handbags in the kitchen, why go into the bedroom?
How was it that he was arrested so quickly? I don’t think it’s from the video, much too grainy.

BBM It was mentioned in the media that he may have been injured. Perhaps he went to an area hospital to be treated for an injury that occurred during the crime and LE was able to ID him that way? MOO

According to an anonymous family friend who spoke with KTLA, the two other family members were the husband and the grandmother. The victims were sleeping in one room while the husband and grandmother were sleeping elsewhere. The father and grandmother are not considered suspects.

After receiving help from the FBI, the sheriff’s department sketched out a suspect and then made an arrest incident to a traffic stop.
“On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, detectives conducted a traffic stop on Wright’s vehicle and arrested him,” a press release noted. “Detectives served a search warrant at Wright’s home, gathered evidence, and conducted a lengthy interview with Wright. Following the interview, Wright was booked for murder and attempted murder and is being held without bail at West Valley Detention Center.”
“Based on evidence obtained, detectives believe Wright acted alone and there are no outstanding suspects,” the department noted.
Beloved in their community, a memorial was held outside the Carleton P. Lightfoot Elementary School, where Ruby attended classes.

It’s been a month, maybe he left DNA behind and his DNA is in Codis from priors.
This is very brutal for a first crime JMO

I agree in regards to the brutality of the crime and that he, more than likely, left DNA behind. Would it take a month for a DNA match? I imagine it would be priority, given the nature of the crime. MOO

I'm now thinking this was deliberate and targeted. Not a hit.

Wondering if Jia had older children? They are defining him as a "teen". No record I can find of him graduating from high school. Perhaps didn't finish. Maybe was serving in the military or something similar?

The brutality is overwhelming. Could it be he was actually there for the friend?

I thought so too. I would’ve guessed late 20’s early 30’s. MOO.

possible substance abuse, it ages you and would be a motivation for burglary.

I don’t know but after following cases for a few years, a month is fast to announce an arrest without the perp being identified by a witness who was there when the crime happened.
I think they like to gather and corroborate as much evidence as they can before an arrest, so they know the whole story (premeditated or spontaneous crime of opportunity, did someone aid and abet etc) and to make sure they have enough for charges to get a conviction, especially for a brutal murder innocent people, including a child. jmo
