I would say that it’s a likely match, but I still have some doubts. Based on DoeNetwork it says that Michael has a deformed right ear. I’m pretty sure that if they were the same person something like that would be noted for Doe as well. It’s kind of hard to see what exactly the deformity is, but both people’s ear positioning is quite similar to each other’s.

It’s still worth looking into though. I think you should submit it. All of the information you provided about the tattoos is very helpful, so good work on that!
See the ear threw me off as well, but if you look at Michael's pictures it just looks a little larger or sticking out more I couldn't really see any deformity. It'd help if they specified. I will send a tip to both agencies on this one, it can't hurt anything.

Riverside unidentified team was very prompt on responding! Hopefully there is dna on file for Michael in Victorville or there’s family available to provide it.

I tried emailing the coroner's office to request the autopsy reports in order to have a more detailed info on possible previous injuries, fractures etc that might have not been listed on Namus or any other online page for some reason. Haven't recieved any reply yet and I highly doubt I will coz it says you have to mail a physical paper request which I can't as I reside far across the ocean. Maybe someone could send a mail request as well?

Also some separate thought I have:

1)This symbol reminds me of Hebrew letter Shin (The Letter Shin (ש) - Hebrew Today) which symbolizes among others peace, God and fire. It also corresponds with the cross and other letter mentioned in the messages above.

2)This person might have not been filed as missing at all. It's just my opinion but he strikes as a roamer type and maybe his family (if he had one though) just thought he's living his best life elsewhere and doesn't want to contact them.

I'm not familiar at all with DNA testing procedures and I don't know what are the prerequisites for remains to be exhumed and tested (as in other "viral" cases) but it seems it's the most realistic option to find our Doe's family and give him his name back

This UID was updated in Namus on September 5th. Not sure what was updated...I don't see anything new added.
Still 0 ruleouts.

Every time I see this specific tattoo I think of an intake manifold, a very simplistic version, possibly unfinished. Or an 'old' electric transformer. And I wonder which direction he intended it to be seen. By himself he would look down on his left wrist so perhaps it represents some sort of timekeeping piece. Especially if he was a right-handed person I think most but not all would wear a watch on the left wrist. It certainly looks rune-ish or potentially mystical, but I can't help thinking maybe it's something less nebulous for a young guy in the late 70s. I think Pac Man was after 1978, but even a graphic from a early video game?
