Circumstances of Disappearance - On 3/10/81, Kruip's mother reported him missing to the Fullerton Police Department. She reported last seeing Kruip on 7/30/80 when he left the residence and possibly traveled to the San Diego area by train. His vehicle was located at the train station in Fullerton and they received a letter sometime later from Kruip postmarked 7/31/80 from Solano Beach stating that he was all right but had to get away for a while and may be traveling to Mexico. That is the last communication the family received.

The program is saying my uploads failed, but looks as if he died in 2018 using the name Marc Philip John Kruip. https://obits.ocregister.com/us/obituaries/orangecounty/name/marc-kruip-obituary?id=9270767

I don't think who you found is Robert Kruip - it could be a relative.
Robert's missing profile was just added to NamUs Nov 3, 2022, and the obituary you have listed (as Mark Phillip John Kruip) lists all of his living and family that passed on, so according to his family, this guy wasn't missing.
