I asked Brenda this evening about Rose being an animal lover. She said they always had dogs and cats so she would say yes.

If you don't mind me asking, where are you going with this? Just curious.

Oh, a couple of days ago I asked this question and just reposted it because no one replied. Seems that the PT Christine, (The Rose look-a-like) developed and maintained a small animal shelter in Jonestown. She was also a food server in the dining hall.

HOT...you posted this, Post #10 on the very 1st thread.

This all started with me finding Rose's picture when she was about 2-3 years old (on my quest to find the identity of Sharon Marshall or Delia Cly) and turned out to be a missing teenager case instead. The fact that Synanon is involved does not bode well for this case, but I really appreciate everyone's interest and research.


Can you give more info about this...can you link the 'missing teenager case'?

I live in Michigan, about 90 minutes south east of Flint. I have a few friends that reside in Flint. And a few are the same age as Rose. They have attended school with her as well.

Welcome to WS's! We can use all of the help that we can get in our quest to find Rose. I just accepted you as a friend on Rose's myspace too I maintain that profile page for Rose(along with several others).
Do you know anyone who knew Rose in school? Do you know of any other kids who were sent to Synanon from Flint, MI.?

Thank you for the welcome! Christine, we've chatted before regarding the AZ UID from 1999. That's been my pet case. The other day I found Shadow's myspace page for Rose and I've been reading these threads ever since.

I sent an email to my friend that lives in Flint. She was born the same year as Rose. As well as, has lived in Flint all her life. I'm hoping she remembers something. I'll definatly keep you all posted!

From what my friend in Cali has told me that it was not unusual for people who were involved in Synanon or other cults to wind up involved with Jim Jones. She posted on skm in the Rose forum more about the JJ history, but is it possible that the Rose look-a-like could be Rose since she was in the same area as Jones was when he started his "church"?

There is no vital information in this case under lock and key. We didn't want to post and get everyone excited because we were not sure if things would come to light. I have been working with a freelance producer who is pitching Rose's story to the major networks. The person I have been working with has fallen ill and needs some time before they can 'get back on this'. This person told me "they have resources you and I can only imagine" and "they want to find Rose and reunite her with her family", if possible.....other than that..no one is hiding anything. (that I know of)

Now..when there is something that was going on that couldn't be posted publicly, for the whole world to see, everyone that has ever posted in this forum would get a PM. IIRC I did send you a PM to tell you about the possible TV coverage...or maybe I meant to and sent it the other interesting one. Again, we didn't want to post it publicly then it not come to be...we have had many promises of TV coverage on cases that has never happened.

Believe you me, I wanted all of you working on this case to know we may be being watched closer...I just didn't want to post it right up on the board...now, you made me have to tell so that others wouldn't think we are hiding something.

I hope that explains better.

We are all in this together, no one is in charge here, we all need everyone's talents to figure this one out.

OK..I looked back at my original post and I thought I was clear, sorry if you misunderstood Interesting, we are not hiding any vital info:

We have NOT found Rose, we are NOT close to finding Rose. However, there may be some amazing people getting involved that have resources we can not even begin to get our hands on.
I will keep you posted as I know more.

I have been in contact and working with Yanette, Shadow, and HOT.

Claire was contacted by Rose's SIL. She only remembered receiving one letter from Rose when she was at the bus station, after her purse was taken. I frankly don't understand how Rose could have wrote this letter with no money,...did she ask the ticket counter lady for paper, envelope, pen and a stamp to write this letter to Claire?...(that always bothered me) You can read more about Claire on the first Rose thread, around page 17 starting with post #402

As far as I know, no one has ever been able to pin down who Ruth actually was. All a mystery.

As far as the Peoples Temple, that was an idea I got after reading about people who went from the PT to the Synanon (or vise versa) during the 70's. I think the Picture of the Christine girl in PT looks a lot like Rose too, so much that I spent many weeks corresponding with ex-members, (survivors of Guyana Jonestown). I have to say that the people I talk to are VERY protective of PT even to this day. I have a feeling they are keeping to themselves out of sheer fear of the consequences of telling what they know. Here is are a few excerpt I received from a PT survivor to give you a little understanding how difficult researching this cult can be.

I looked at the photo - actually, she doesn't look that much like Christine Talley to me - Christine had a thin nose, and less rounded jaw, more oval face. But, I moved into Synanon for 10 years after I got back from Guyana - I was a basket case and they gave me safe haven. I will send these photos to my friends there, who worked with kids - to see if they are recognized.

The pictures do not look like any child in Jonestown -and I would say I
knew them all at that age - by face if not by name. None of the Talley girls looked like that...

Now this one is what interested me the most. I was inquiring about the family as a Whole, but this response never even mentioned Christine as part of the family. (maybe because she really wasn't...I have pictures of the entire family and she looks nothing like the other....who where very much older than her)

I knew the whole family well. Ron was on probation - at least - for a while, and there may be records from CA Dept of Corrections for him. After knowing the family, I REALLY doubt that Marlene, Maureen, Don or Cynthia would have participated in that - more than unlikely - I'd say impossible!

I Did find Christines Birth records and it says she was born in a different city than what her passport said.

Im just hoping Rose in not a part of the People's Temple Unidentified, buried in that mass grave....Those poor people will probably never be identified......
