@Niner I was just in the court website. The docket says trial starts on 2/21/23 at 8:30 am in Department 4 at 101 Maple Street in Auburn. They are actually going to have the trial at the old historic courthouse in Auburn instead of the new Roseville one. I’ll double check on Tuesday morning since Monday is President’s Day holiday. Having worked with the Placer Courts for years I also know there is a chance they move it out again on Tuesday. We shall see.

Okay! You know I used to live in Auburn. Love that old court house! There is an old jail underneath it where they held the women prisoners since they did not have a jail for them. Spooking down there!

When I was following the trial of Mario... oh shoot do not recall his last name - he kidnapped & murder Christy from the casino in Roseville. Boy - he stared at me one day - those eyes!! YIKES!
Took notes for WS forum. He did get convicted & I do not think Christy was ever found...

I thought so too but I like that they tell you the actual trial dates and dark days ahead of time. They probably have a no nonsense Judge. I hope that one of the local papers and/or news stations picks it up soon.

Nothing online about the trial yet. I did see that the Judge Garen J. Horst is assigned to this trial. He was the DA who put Mario Garcia away for life in the Christie Wilson murder trial. You said you were at that trial so you probably remember him?

I search the paper every day but nothing. There is a good chance trial will be cancelled today. Auburn is expecting snow starting in the next couple of hours. California is getting hit with a major winter storm with super low snow levels. It’s going to be a messy weekend. I’ll check back this evening to update you.
