Found Deceased CA - Ryan Singleton, 24, Baker, 9 July 2013

Doesn't it seem strange that his Mom says she was told the body was intact?
But organs missing.

Have they said how long they think he was in the place they found the body?
I am not certain, but wouldn't a body decompose quickly, and what about animals?

So is it possible that he was found with organs but they have been misplaced by the two entities mentioned above before the second autopsy? Wish there was more info.

This is a different case.

Or maybe his car broke down and he had to walk and didn't make it. There are bodies found in the desert all the time, especially Death Valley. His body would have been completely decomposed after a month. His organs as well.

I challenge anyone to find the original story. I've been searching for hours.

EXACTLY! This is either a hoax (at worst), sloppy reporting (entirely possible) or a gigantic misunderstanding (at best).

Its a strange one, thats for sure

I don't see it as sloppy reporting because his Mom is telling the story herself.. repeating what she says the police told her

If it is a hoax, would his mother be aware of it?

It is hard to make any sense of it all

From the above link: It sounds like animal activity. 'Mostly intact' likely means the remains were not spread over an area - in other words the skeleton was still intact.

I feel for this mother of course. It says he was driving a rental car. What became of the car- and why was he traveling to three different states as the interview states?

BBM

I agree with you
When I first heard Mother say the body was intact, I thought not decomposing.
I realize now, that what she was saying was all there, nothing other than organs missing

The car

She was told his car was found in the Death Valley desert a few miles from Baker. He was last seen at a gas station in Baker in July.

If he had been in Vegas, he was headed back to LA, not Georgia. I never liked driving in the area (Baker). Afraid my car would break down. JMO

So strange! I read Ryan's husband's FB page, and I get a horrible vibe about this!

On his FB page it says in July, praying for Ryan in NY, NY. Then, he doesn't mention him again until September when his body is found (unless of course I cannot read every post of his because we are not FB friends).

Something about this story - the missing organs - doesn't make sense. But, I also believe that a young man lost his life, and it sounds to me like it is more than likely that foul play was involved.

Why? :sigh:
Also on his twitter page...He says to no one in particular on July 9 - "How's the Party". Then nothing until September (would have to look for exact date). I also noticed the mother of Ryan never mentions the husband.

Very odd, to say the least.

It would be nice if the guests would come in and join the discussion

In the heat of Death Valley, it would take a very short time to decompose a body. Is someone trying to get attention here? Was Ryan reported missing; and if so, when? They note that the last time he was seen was in July, but...

I do think that this case should be investigated as a possible homicide. But, I am really starting to doubt that this it really was organ removal as it was first reported. JMHO

I am questioning things too
But one thing I am not sure of... if the car was found in one area and his body was in another, how did he get there and why did he go?

So, I suppose we will never know why he was in the dessert, how he got there, why he left his car behind or how he died..........

Very sad
Seemed to have a promising future

Exactly, and that is where the focus should be - focusing on someone taking his organs and leaving him to die does the young man a disservice. He was a very handsome guy and by all accounts a "gentle giant". <modsnip>ee

The latest story (Rolling Out), has the mother being told an animal killed Ryan - no signs of it on his body, but, oh well. Lawd.

The car was located a few miles from the body
Quite a hike in the heat

It must be horrible to lose a son and not know what happened to him.
I hope she finds the answers, the true answers

This is the stuff of nightmares. I suspect he was murdered (and wouldn't be surprised if there were more cases the same).

After catching up on all the posts, I'm relieved that organ harvesting isn't what happened to this young man. I gotta admit that hearing how specific the mom was in the news video, and how this case was reported, it had me going at first, lol! But I am very sorry this young man lost his life. I wonder if we'll ever find out what happened to him. I don't know what to make of his mom's statements, but I hope she has someone she can talk to.

I was searching for articles about the little girl in Greece (Maria) and I found this article. The statistics are horrifying.

http://www.news.com.au/world/child-sold-for-organ-harvesting/story-fndir2ev-1226743335651

A young girl has been smuggled out of Africa and sold for organ harvesting, authorities have revealed.
It is the first case of a child being trafficked into Britain for the express intention of providing organs for people desperate for a transplant, reports the Telegraph.

*snip*

In 2012, an adult woman was reported as the first case of a human brought to the UK by an organised gang with the intention of removing her organs and selling them on.
According to the World Health Organisation an international shortage of organs for transplantation has led to a black market for organ trading, as well as "organ transplant tourism".
The WHO says payment for organs "is likely to take unfair advantage of the poorest and most vulnerable groups, undermines altruistic donation and leads to profiteering and human trafficking".
