This is very creepy! This may sound out there, but could this young man have been targeted and murdered for his eyes, heart, lungs, liver, kidney, and eyes for illegal organ transplants? I agree with his mother too,when she says:"She says she'll never forget the call from police.

Ms. Flowers said. "There were no organs. He said ma'am, there were no eyes, there was no heart, there was no lungs, there was no liver, there were no kidneys."

And this:"Ms. Flowers says she was told the body was mostly intact but she has questions about what happened.

Flowers said, "I don't know of an animal that comes to a body and just picks out certain parts of the body. I don't think it was animal activity at all."

I wonder what caused this young man's death? I think he was murdered.

I hope they get the scumm that did this before they do it again!

Just when you think you have read the worst case u ever read about something more horrific comes our way!

I've been wondering if there's any chance this was a live kidney donation - maybe not on the up and up - gone tarabully wrong...So they harvest everything and...??? Well then what...they dump him...???

His body was lying in Death Valley desert for about two months. July thru September. On July 2nd, 2013, the temperature was 130 F. I can't imagine there was much left.

A couple of things about Ryan:

He was married to Kithe Brewster - it appears they were married around July. There is a memorial foundation set up asking for donations - nowhere on the very lengthy donation page is there mention of the organs.

He was a model in New York

He was in or produced a reality show

Ryan's mother never mentions her son's husband.

All of their facebook and twitter pages are open, so it might be worth taking a look before they close...lots of information, but nothing about organs, yet.

Well I'm officially creeped out! How is this story not HUGE news. It's not every day young, healthy, male models end up dead in the desert and missing their organs. And eyeballs. Yikes.

There has been this "urban myth" floating around for quite a few years that said to be careful if you get too drunk or black out in Vegas...you might wake up in a bathtub full of ice with no kidneys...
I'm beginning to wonder if there's any truth to that...

Indeed. The thought crossed my mind as well after researching this afternoon and seeing how many people willingly donate or sell their organs. As you mentioned, he could have gone in for a willful kidney donation.

One thing, I would think they would go to great lengths to hide the body. I wonder if his body was meant to be hidden and came unearthed, or was dumped with little effort to hide it.

I hope his emails / cell calls reveal something to investigators.

<edit: thinking further about this possibility of a willfull meeting, they sure would have to be prepared and educated specifically to carry out the number of organ removals that were performed. >

Or maybe his car broke down and he had to walk and didn't make it. There are bodies found in the desert all the time, especially Death Valley. His body would have been completely decomposed after a month. His organs as well.

I challenge anyone to find the original story. I've been searching for hours.

So is it possible that he was found with organs but they have been misplaced by the two entities mentioned above before the second autopsy? Wish there was more info.

Odd. Seems several young black men have turned up with no organs? GA, CA, and Vegas seem to be a common link?

I wonder if organs have been going missing, or just not put back into a body for years and years, as a matter of course/laziness/ineptitude, and we knew nothing about it.

I can understand the eyes being gone, birds are notoriously for that, sorry to say.

So strange! I read Ryan's husband's FB page, and I get a horrible vibe about this!

On his FB page it says in July, praying for Ryan in NY, NY. Then, he doesn't mention him again until September when his body is found (unless of course I cannot read every post of his because we are not FB friends).

Something about this story - the missing organs - doesn't make sense. But, I also believe that a young man lost his life, and it sounds to me like it is more than likely that foul play was involved.

Why? :sigh:
