I think this feels like a possibility. Do we know what happened to Suzanne? I had a search but couldn’t really find any information about her, eg no obituary (which does indicate she may have assumed someone else’s identity).
Never found. She still wanted fugitive.

Had a look at the aforementioned Carol Sue Wright (1945-1995) on Family Search....

Apart from the family search page, which links to the California death index (not a single specific document), I can't find any record of a death in 1995 for anyone under any of the listed names. No further family search records, no obituaries, and no results on Find A Grave. It's not unusual not to find the actual death record on FamilySearch, but the lack of a grave or obituary is a bit more odd.

Given the fact it appears Carol Sue/Suzi's parents and aunts/uncles were dead prior to 1995 the lack of obit wouldn't immediately stand out but both parents have 'grandmother/grandfather' listed on their grave which suggests either another child or that Carol Sue/Suzi had children....surely in that case there would be some trace of their existence and death especially given they were married several times.

To add to this...Suzi Lane/Wright, born 26/05/1945, married James B. Clark (born 1939) in Orange, California, in 1982. A James B. Clark, who lived in various locations around California, also went by James Barrie Clark. A Suzi Barrie Clark is recorded as living in Irvine, California, in 1997, but is also noted as deceased. Not 100% they are the same woman, but a heck of a coincidence if two couples named Suzi/James B. Clark, both born in May 1945/1939, respectively, lived in California at the same time. Of course, this could be the Suzi who dies in 1995 and the population record wasn't updated until 1997, but it's a little unclear. And then of course there's the prior comment indicating that the name S. Clark was registered in 1998. Further, a 'Sue Wright' was registered as living in Sacramento, CA between 2004 and 2007.

So in short....I cannot actually find any significant evidence other than a family search link--which has been wrong before--that Carol Sue Wright/Suzi Clark definitively died in March 1995. So this doe may have taken on a dead woman's identity...or she actually was Suzi Clark who for some reason had been listed as deceased for 10 years. Either way, very odd circumstances.

Also, where did you find the info on Suzanne Barron? Google brings up nothing, but it sounds like an interesting case/possible match.

Found one of Suzi's kids with a social media post on the anniversary of her death, which matches exactly with the 12/03/1995 death date. So the family search record for a Suzi Lane/Clark/Peery/Wright who lived 1945-1995 is substantiated, and this Jane Doe cannot be the same woman. (won't link to the post as this person is living, has lost a parent, and has no connection to this case other than a Jane Doe using her mother's identity).

So, back to the drawing board of this likely being a stolen identity situation, and I do think the Suzanne Barron photo looks quite similar to the recon of the Jane Doe.

No fingerprints or dentals? Really? Did they cremate her before they realized she had several aliases? Or is that listing just not accurate? If they knew she had several aliases then I don't why in 2005 they wouldn't have gotten DNA too. Even if not and she was cremated ( that's usually what happens in CA with unclaimed and unidentified bodies), maybe there's something somewhere that they could get DNA from.

'Suzi' is listed as one of the Featured Unidentified Persons on The State of California Department of Justice's website. She is listed as having dentals on file, but nothing about dna or fingerprints. That's not to say they don't have it on file, but it's not mentioned.

I also found her case file on the Sacramento County Coroner's website. Apparently 'Suzi' died from lung cancer.

I can no longer access it, but I found her on the LAPD Most Wanted website. The LAPD Most Wanted website was also where I found Roxanna Bahrololoomi. I thought she was the Iranian Jane Doe with the alias 'Mary Anderson' found in Seattle. Both were of Iranian descent. I still think she's related to the Jane Doe for some reason. idk why.

I agree, I think think there's some similarities. Then again, there's also some things that don't fully line up so who knows.
It certainly can't hurt.

I've sent this tip to the Sacramento County Coroner's Office, as well as the California Department of Justice - Missing and Unidentified Persons Unit.
