Found Deceased CA - Samantha "Sam" Tomlinson, 37, Vanished on trip to Costco store, Fresno, 3 Dec 2021

  • #21
Sam seems to have disappeared into thin air. 10 days is such a long time to be missing.

Family/Friends have a fundraising page that has raised over $4000 so far and they have now hired a Private Investigator.

Please be OK Sam.

I am not on Facebook. Is there a husband or boyfriend?

Was anything bothering Sam recently? Problems at work, boyfriend? Also curious what she returned at Costco? Was it something she would need to go elsewhere to replace?
Sorry to quote myself, but someone answers the return item question here Bring Sam Home
Look for a poster with the initials BJ-

From the previous post link.

This isn't just her pet dog she's left behind then.

.......Soya was a former rescue dog in Georgia who was given a second chance as an ag k-9. She'll retire at age nine (she's seven now) and will live with Tomlinson after retirement.

"I mean it's a friendship, it's a partnership and friendship. That's probably the best thing... she knows if I'm not having the best day she'll come and sit with me," Tomlinson said.

"We just get each other."........

At this point, I don't think any foul play is involved. I have no reason for this just a gut instinct.

Now if there's an ex or a boyfriend lurking then I may change my mind.

Is her car missing too? Without extra info it seems like it, but doesn’t necessarily mean it’s so I suppose.

Major winter storms started rolling in last night. It’s supposed to rain in the lower elevations and snow up in the mountains until Thursday night. I’m currently in Fresno and have yet to see any missing posters. Glad I saw her thread here yesterday. Will be on the lookout for her car. I hope she is found safe soon.

I see there’s another very recent thread of another 30s woman missing form Fresno around the same time, early December.
Maybe not connected and of course it’s city, but interesting.
“Detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office are searching for 30-year-old Missy Hernandez, a.k.a. Missy Perez. She was last seen in the Fresno area on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021.”

Car missing for Sam I know can of course mean it will be found elsewhere with her alive, and hopefully that’s the case.

Has anyone done a map of the Costco and surrounding areas? Do we have her address? ( I stink at maps!)

The Costco she was at is a very busy place!
Cars coming and going from all directions.

Blackstone and Herndon is a highly travelled intersection.

If she continued to travel north on Herndon, she'd be going towards the foothills.

ETA...and as someone stated earlier, the rain is here. Snow possibly in the mountains. And, it's very cold.

Search continues for missing woman who vanished after trip to a Costco in Fresno, California

According to Lt. Papaleo, police have two separate security videos that show Samantha on the day she went missing – December 3, 2021. After leaving her home in Fresno, Samantha is shown on video meeting up with an unidentified person she met on the OfferUp app to sell a weight set. Lieutenant Papaleo confirmed that the transaction went smoothly.

In the second security video, Samantha makes it to her next stop, the Costco on Blackstone at Herndon in Fresno. She is seen on camera checking out and leaving the parking lot in her 2002 Silver Honda Civic with California license plates: 6YQB398.

Lieutenant Papaleo told Dateline it’s after Samantha leaves the store that the trail goes cold. He added that her phone has not been operational since that time and there has been no activity on her bank account or credit cards.

Samantha’s mother, Christie, told Dateline that her daughter works for the Fresno County Department of Agriculture, is an avid hiker who loves being outdoors in nature. But when she went missing that day, Samantha wasn’t dressed for the outdoors and all of her hiking gear was found at home.

On Monday morning, Christie spoke to Dateline as she was preparing to head out to search another spot Samantha loves -- the coast.

“She loves to watch for orcas in the water,” her mother said, as she drank her morning coffee out of Samantha’s “Orca” mug. “The ocean always gave her peace. And now I feel like it’s pulling me there to look for her.”
“She likes her space, especially when something is bothering her,” Christie said. “And she loves the mountains. But something isn’t right this time. She usually takes her dog with her.”

Fresno County SO posted the two cases are not connected. Family of Missy intimates they suspect a certain someone connected to her.

It'd be nice if they could tell us what direction she was going.
I haven't read the article above in detail, but if she was headed towards Millerton Lake, she'd be going north on hwy 41. Blackstone becomes 41 as you head north.

Millerton Lake is a popular place during the summer months. Lots of boating...

imo..........thanks for the article....good info.

I wonder if there’s a ravine anywhere she could have accidentally driven down. Not much water around.
