No trauma, but an accidental death? The only thing I can think of is an overdose; it doesn't sound like she was hit by a car.

Strange she’s got on so many bottom pieces (2 shorts, 1 sweatpants).

The Boundary Waters are in northern Minnesota.

Can anyone see if there are any rule-outs?

I notice she had dental work. Someone out there knows or knew this woman. :(

@Caring1 Thank you.

Elsa's case is really awful. She is still listed in the databases as missing and has a thread here.:(
Serina is not listed in NamUs.

That jumped out to me, too. Not a place most people know about unless they're into canoeing, hiking, hunting and fishing, general outdoors stuff. But there also seems to be a clothing company called Boundary Waters. I don't know whether the company is connected to Minnesota or they just want the wilderness-associated name. It might be nothing, but it's probably worth looking into missing women with a Minnesota connection.

It's pretty common around here (New England) for runners to wear two pairs of shorts, usually one snug fitting (like hamstring tights or something like that) under a looser pair. Then when she finished she might have thrown on the t-shirt and sweatpants to be warmer, or to look more presentable for stopping somewhere.

Not sure if the sweatpants have “Boundary Waters” written on them, or if that’s the brand.

there also seems to be a clothing company called Boundary Waters

If the brand, it was trademarked to Dayton’s, a Minneapolis department store. In use 1983-1992.

So in either case it's a Minnesota reference. Though I imagine the clothing was available in other parts of the country.

From https://www.animated-teeth.com/dental_crowns/t6_dental_crowns_types.html
  1. Porcelain-fused-to-metal (“PFM”) – This kind of crown represents a hybrid construction where porcelain is fused as a covering over a metal substructure that encases the tooth. These crowns can provide both good aesthetics and strength.
The latest generation of metal-ceramic crowns utilizes the pressed-over-metal (POM), or pressed-to-metal (PTM), fabrication method.

or someone dumped her, maybe she was too decomposed to see the trauma.

Maybe hyper- or hypothermia? A medical incident (stroke, heart attack, asthma attack, cause obscured by decomposition)?

That would be my guess - something related to exercise? The clothing items are all mid range "sporting" brands. She wasn't wearing expensive specialized running gear but she wasn't wearing just any random shorts and t-shirt. Everything she's got on points to her doing some kind of workout.

eta: no shoes? And she appears to have taken really good care of herself with the dental work and hairstyle.

I would think that a medical incident (related to exercise or not) would be classified as a natural death, not an accidental one? But I'm not 100% sure.
But hyper or hypothermia could be a possibility... Is there a way to know what the weather was like when she was found?

It's the kind of outfit I'd be wearing after a workout. Tank top and layered shorts for the gym, throw on t-shirt and sweatpants for the drive/walk/ride home.

If I'm doing this correctly, below is general area of the location of her remains. Noting her age and the close proximity of San Clemente High School (0pened in ~1980).
