Shooter is thought to be an employee, the shooting occurred at the start of the morning shift at a large transportation control center for the Valley Transportation Co. The shooter has been reported as deceased, very little other information has been released as of yet.

"There are multiple injuries and multiple fatalities in this case," sheriff's Deputy Russell Davis told reporters at the scene. “The suspect is confirmed deceased."...

can someone confirm, if MSM released something on a live that is ok to say here? on THIS LIVE, the above links of the fire, the shooter set his home on fire and then went to work and opened fire...... was rumor which is why i posted the link about the fire but ABC7 jus confirmed it on the live.

The shooter is dead. This happened at 6:30AM Pacific. The suspicious house fire is off McLaughlin Avenue and I believe Angmar Court in south San Jose. It also started at about 6:30AM, a gasoline fire, canister found, and 100s of rounds of ammunition. Large police and sheriff presence there, but authorities are not saying if it's related to the VTA shooting.

yup! abc 7 has a good live too. abc7 said there is 7 dead and the shooter is number 8, but its so fluid there could be confusion. house is on angmar ct off mclaughlin and capitol.

Yes, I just heard on MSNBC that a nearby house fire may in fact be related. Also, they are tentatively reporting 7 dead at the main scene. No link - it is from live on air reporting.
