i notice such a difference in the response between this and the nashville bombing. in both cases, the suspect is deceased.

  • #64
they are asking PIO if the deceased are still in the uncleared facility (uncleared by bomb squad) and is that why not all next of kin have been notified.

  • #65
PIO downtown not commenting on the event at the suspect home.

they are saying that the gunman likely killed himself when he realized there was no way out, however, i speculate he never planned on coming home because he set it on fire.
And did not want a partner or ex to have it on his death.

there is discussion on gun control on the news live (not a discussion about thoughts on that this is just to say....) they are discussing red flags for gun violence restraining orders as in the Maya Millete case. Her husband Larry was issued a gun violence RO and his guns were confiscated.

The photo is for the other fire: "One fire was burning a structure on the 1800 block of Smith Ave. The two-alarm fire was originally reported at around 6:30 a.m."
That dead end street is industrial and has a couple of recyclers. It is also right in between the residence and the shooting scene. All three events were reported to 911 about the same time.

JMO I am highly suspicious of this other fire. I wonder if fire investigators will uncover explosives or timers at this location?

the smith one? i dont think he had anything to do with it, i smelled it all day at work it is an industrial area and it smelled like tires. he wouldnt have had time to go by there on the way to work then to open fire at that time. it is between, but he would have to take 101n to 280n, exit 7th and drive south. then go back the way he came to 101n then 880s exit 1st street. its too much back and forth.

suspect has history of DV per the live
Samuel Cassidy: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com
"... A review of court records for the county shows only a traffic case for Cassidy. There are two other cases in the name Samuel Cassidy but no DOB is listed. One is a divorce and the other is a DV-related restraining order, but he was the petitioner in both. A woman named in the divorce and restraining order cases shared the Angmar Court address with Cassidy from 1998 to 2003, according to public records. ABC7 confirmed the cases related to the shooter. ..."

It sounds like he was the victim in the DV restraining order.
