It sounds like he was the victim in the DV restraining order.

yes i saw that later. a lot of ppl that know him like neighbors and ex gf saying he was mean. coworker said he was mellow.

the smith one? i dont think he had anything to do with it, i smelled it all day at work it is an industrial area and it smelled like tires. he wouldnt have had time to go by there on the way to work then to open fire at that time.

JMO he may have used timers with incendiary devices at Angmar and also at Smith so that they caught on fire just as he started shooting at VTA. This would be classic diversionary tactics to create confusion, overwhelm 911 and emergency responders, and most of all give him more time to shoot more people at VTA before police arrive. Smith is a lucrative target with all that flammable recycle material and a dead end. IMO he was planning this attack for some time.

that is possible... i do think he timed it to cause a diversion, the emergency responders dealing w fires and also it was LE shift change.

if it was not a device, i think he could have set the fire at home and made it to work. it would take like 10 minutes at that time because traffic isnt bad at that time due to the rona. they park on site and security isnt a big deal i think they badge in. maybe he started the fire hoping it would spread and blow up a bit later. he couldnt have made it to smith.

but if it was a device, i hope they pull cctv on smith, its industrial and hopefully they have cameras down there. i would assume they do

i am still wondering whether the second fire on smith street was related. it was close to another VTA bus yard. the business that burned was my husband's recycler.

Yes, the Smith fire is suspicious to me, too. At the time I looked up the ex-wife to see if she lived in the mobile home park where some sheds in the back corner near Smith burned. She doesn't live there - but nice catch that VTA has a yard there...
