I reeeaaaally wonder what they are going to say at the presser this morning.

Salem, I agree completely. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Frank is retired or ex military....he has that kind of "feel" to him (or maybe it is the shaved head LOL...I mean I live in a military environment...my hubby has been in going on 17 years now). He gives me the "retired sergeant" feel.

I completely agree that the way he was talking was strange. After looking at all of these interviews and reading reports... it seems many media tried to knock on his door and he wouldn't answer. When they caught that taped interview they blindsided him outside of his martial arts studio.... he was being very cautious and gaurded in his replies.... almost defensive. eta.....he never once said I hope she is safe or I hope they find her....or I hope she is okay!

In one of the videos parents of his students say he was in classes at that time.... he is a great guy, etc... let me see if I can find that again... ((((nurse wonders to the side why LE would be so interested in the guy if he had a rock solid allibi like that)))))

bottom line....the fence around that small park combined with all the children being safe ***up until this point*** seems to be one of the biggest false sense of securities ever. It is absolutely tragic that in our society today children cannot play outside and be safe....even with security cameras abounding and a fence around them. 9 pedophiles within a one mile radius of that place and an absconded one possibly in the area. It is stuff right out of nightmares.

Nurse - great point about Wohler having a "rock solid" alibi and LE still naming him a POI. I guess the alibi is not that solid?

I wonder what time his last class was scheduled for? Or if he had a substitute for the 4:00 p.m. class? It would seem though - that parents of the children in class would know and would have told LE already that he was not there. When they first said there were 2 poi's, there was some indication that the men might have worked together. But now that theory seems to have gone by the wayside.

I agree about the false sense of security. Family mobile home parks always seem like a nice, safe place to me. The reality is (I guess) NO where is safe anymore. It is so sad. Can't walk to school, can't walk to a friends, can't go to the mall, can't go to the park, can't hike a trail - it is no wonder our children in America are becoming more and more overweight. You can not let your children out of your sight and it is difficult to ensure they get the proper amount of play/recreation time, when you also have to cook dinner and run errands, etc.

Respectfully snipped by me: I had looked on the website last night and IIRC there would have been about 1/2 hour window of opportunity from the 4pm to the 7pm timeframe when classes would not have been in session based on the class schedule of course. The big question would be if "Sifu" was actually instructing the classes that day - just as you said above - that is the key question on this guy. Agreeing with you - just trying to add a little bit of info I tried to ferret out last night.

just watched the presser....did anyone get the beginning??? I only got the end of it...will post what I wrote down in a sec. At the end he said "three thirty at city hall" so not sure if they are having another presser at that time...

here is what I got from the presser:

-le got over 100 tips yesterday
-they don't have a tail on the father, they can get a hold of him/find him if they need to
-persons of interest are cooperating
-no one is ruled out as a suspect
-no water or ground searches planned for today...that could change based on leads
-was sandra having a hard time at school.. le says she was well loved
-weekend searches...more info on that to come
-one media outlet asked why, when they called le at 8pm they said they did not have a missing child and thus media did not get out to public until the morning...12 hour delay... le says he wasn't there that night and not sure
-states that immediately that first night they did helicopter and bloodhound searches

at the end he said three thirty city hall...not sure if another presser scheduled

also said that 15 new pictures have been released of Sandra... I am sure in the next few hours media outlets will be posting them so we can link them here

iirc, he is from Mexico...was working in SoCal. Sandra doesn't live with a step father just her mother, grandparents, and sibs. ((aside...several of the children have different last names...don't know where THEIR fathers are???))

The "tipster" said that Father Cantu cashed a check at a check cashing place and was on his way back to Mexico.. he tipped media who then tipped LE to talk to him. Today at the presser they were not concerned... said that they are not tailing him and can get a hold of him if need be. Hope that helps...

What worries me about them issuing an amber alert now is what information did they find that she is now an endangered missing person? Just yesterday they were saying that they had no evidence she wasn't alive.
Also if my kid was in that martial arts class, I would not be taking them there anymore!! I find it scary that this man who kisses 6 yr. old little girl's on the mouth is around children all day. Pedo.'s often go to work in a job where they can be around kids....

Daniel Cantu, the father of missing Tracy girl Sandra Cantu, was interviewed Wednesday by police, but he was not detained, an official said.The information emerged just minutes after Lt. Jeremy Watney told reporters during a morning news conference in Tracy that investigators did not know the whereabouts of the father.

Police planned another news conference at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to offer an update.

I don't want to hear this I missed the presser. Main tv is on the blink and I forget to turn on the one in the back room.

I was feeling so confident that LE was really on to something and Sandra would be back by now! Dang it! (salem stomps feet)

I want her to come home.

Is it me - or does it appear that these cases are getting harder to solve? Are the criminals getting smarter? I know LE is with all the technology and training they go through, so what is going on? So many missing and no clues?

This is good. It looks like they are taking a better safe than sorry approach to this. They'd rather piss off a few people and take/look more than necessary to find this little girl alive than pi** and moan about lack of co-operation!!
