Just a quick question, and my apologies if this has been discussed already...but I know that I read (on thread 3??) that the family was going to issue a statement after the earlier press release...Did this happen?

I posted right after you about this.

It was a written statement. Nothing surprising as I remember - just things you would expect from a broken family. They wouldn't be attending future prayer vigils as I recall.

My heart breaks for them.

I read somewhere that the family spokesperson is no longer representing them. I took that to be their statement/announcement.

from the article..."At Monday afternoon's media update, Sheneman read a statement from Maria Chavez, Cantu's mother. In it, Chavez said Lisa Encarnacion is no longer a representative for the family, and she thanked Encarnacion and Tracy police for their work."

Aaaahhh! I feel the same way. :blowkiss:

You know, I'm sitting here waiting with the rest of you, feeling the enormous love we all have for this beautiful little girl. I am crying my eyes out for so many reasons, the first one being the obvious--Sandra.
I have to say though, that the overwhelming love I feel just being here with you wonderful people helps me believe that there is still hope for this world yet. Thank you all for being who you are.

In one pic the bag looks to me like a very thick and sturdy garment bag, and in another it looks like a hikers bag with a metal frame.

I wonder how it is 'sealed'?

My stomach is doing flip flops. That image of her skipping will be haunting to me if this is indeed her. Still praying it's not!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greta just said that we would get the update when they get it. I am assuming she is meaning FoxNews.

All links to past info on POI in Oakdale that was searched no longer work...not for me anyway
Quote:
Judy Thomas and her husband Arnold Thomas watched the search from across the street. Agents looked through a boat that sat in the driveway of the Oakdale home, brought out canines to sniff out the property and used ladders to help search unreachable areas.
There was also a hole dug a few inches into the ground in the backyard, sitting next to a number of shovels and metal detectors.
Both the FBI and the Tracy Police are not releasing any information about this search for fear of hindering the investigation.

I posted right after you about this.

I did see a statement from the family at Channel 10 (I think) that said the spokesperson was NO LONGER the spokes person and Sandra's mom thanked her for all her help. I didn't read the rest of it, because I thought it was old? and I was looking for something else and was hurrying

Has anyone heard to date that Lisa E. was no longer the spokesperson?
