I Have a question maybe someone here can answer for me. I've been looking at the recent bookings for SAn Joaquin Co sheriff's dept. What does it mean when there is just the name of the person and the date and time of booking available? No other info is given, not the charges, not the bail, not the arresting agency etc. Does that seem odd. They were arrested several hours ago and still no info. TIA

Are prior bad acts allowed to be presented at trials in California? It is possible that if the rev is connected to this, has other victims etc. seeing his picture in the national media will give other survivors the strength to step forward. He could also be tried separately in different states/ communities if that occurs, yes? Then he would go to the state that has the worst prison facilities.

I can think of several molestation cases in California where they were admitted. Notably the Michael Jackson and Samantha Runnion cases but also the case where Teri Hatcher? testified against the man who formerly molested her when he was brought up on charges of molesting another girl.

Overnight, crime scene tape was also strung around Clover Road Baptist Church, which will be searched later Tuesday, said Sgt. Tony Sheneman with the Tracy Police Department at a news conference Tuesday morning. The church pastor, Lane Lawless, lives in the Orchard Estates mobile home park.

News10 talked to Lawless and his wife Connie. The pastor said he spent all night talking to police. He said they were being questioned because they know the Cantu family and Sandra and live just a few doors down from them.

"They're just covering every base they're going to cover," said Connie Lawless. "We were close friends with her. We lived just down the street. That's the only reason."

When asked if he had anything to do with the girl's disppearance, Lane Lawless said, "No."

This gives me every indication they are indeed looking at the Pastor.

Creepiness at Connies statement. "We were close friends with her".....Sandra was 8 years old!

Yea, I heard that there is a search warrant to be served on the church this afternoon and then they will search. I don't know if this broadcast on the CNN channel 45 {not the main CNN station} was live or time delayed. It does take time to get SW's I think.

I also heard on this show that a medical examiner TH said there would be a difference with evidence depending on if it was in the water 1 day or 10 days. But he pointed out that one important fact in this case is that there could be evidence of the perp inside the suitcase. And the fact that bag was sealed will be very helpful to the forensic investigation.

HLN is talking about the Cantu case right now.
Someone with the PD said the church is NOT being searched at this time. They are waiting for the SW and the SW will be sealed so they will not be able to talk about that.

There was a text across the bottom during HLN saying "why doesn't the church open it's doors? Why the need for a SW if there's nothing to hide?"..On that note someone wrote on the church website (gone now?) that the Pastor seemed especially upset & was gulping when talking about Sandra at a recent service..That may OR may not be true..Someone may have been pulling a prank..We just don't know!

It takes awhile for booking info to show up on websites so no...doesn't seem odd at all. It could even take up to two days in some places.

Booking ALONE takes several hours. I agree, getting it into the system would take even longer.

Thank you! I've been lurking here for years, but this case hit so close to home, i wanted to give some insight.

Though this case hasn't appeared all over national news, local news have been very on-top of things. KRON 4 interrupted scheduled programming for a full hour with the breaking news of little Sandra's death. I'd recommend looking to their website, and KRCA's as well, for updates.

Will Nancy Grace be covering this tonight by any chance?

It would be VERY unusual if she did not - she has ties to Sund-Carrington,too. She was a keynote speaker at a fund raiser for them in Modesto.

Why can't I find this place... Alisal Baptist Institute of Salinas? I've googled and there does not appear to be a Alisal Baptist Institute of Salinas. I find Alisal Baptist Church, so is the institute within the church?
